This weekend we’ve got two revenge flicks opening against each other – The second half of Tarentino’s self indulgent ‘chick with a sword’ epic “Kill Bill.” And a “Punisher” that trades the cheese of Dolph Lungdren for the ham of John Travolta.
But April also opened with the 'remake nobody demanded' of the Vigilante/Revenge film “Walking Tall” and closes out with another remake, the Denzel 'King Kong ain't got nothing on me' Washinton fare “Man on Fire.”
Who’ll be feeding their thirst for vengeance this month? There’s plenty to go around.
But get your fill now, checking out the rest of the Summer slate and there’s no more payback flicks anywhere in sight.
July is good for popcorn action, December for Oscar contending dramas; has April been defined now too?
