While back I read an interview that said this movie was going to be an action comedy with a good amount of camp, a la "Down with Love." I guess if this guy really is the director then the rumors are probably true.:(

WWWWWWHHHHYYYYYYYYYYY??????!!!!!

I don't like being a naysayer, but I was hoping that FF would be a more serious comic movie, a la Spiderman and X-men. Now it looks like it'll be an action-comedy.

I liked the amount of Comedy in Hellboy, but it didn't take away from the story. Hopefully this movie will take the same direction.

Don't tell me Eve will play Sue Storm.

Give the guy a chance. Besides Barbershop, what other films has he directed? Might not be all bad, bros.

Tim Robbins (Mystic River) is supposedly playing Doctor Doom; Michael Chiklis (The Shield) is rumored to play Mr. Fantastic; Christina Milian (Love Don't Cost a Thing) is rumored to play Invisible Woman; and Paul Walker (Fast and the Furious) is rumored to play Human Torch.

"A glowing script review is online, giving The Fantastic Four screenplay, suitably, four stars. The review contains spoilers, of course, so beware. Apparently, this flick will be similar in tone to the X-Men movies, treating the source material seriously while still incorporating some funny moments into the story. (Latino Review)"

The script review can be found here http://www.latinoreview.com/scriptreviews/fantasticfour/script-review.html

I haven't gone to it yet, because I hate spoilers. They'd better not mess up Dr. Doom...

ummm... I hope you mean Tim Robbins is Mr. Fantastic and Micheal Chiklis is Thing.

Chiklis as Reed? C'mon now.

Sorry about that. Micheal Chiklis is rumored to play the Thing

"Lots of Fantastic Four news this morning. Rumors are circulating that Barbershop director Tim Story might be taking over helming duties on this one, with The Shield actor Michael Chiklis playing The Thing and Tim Robbins signing on for the Dr. Doom role. (Latino Review)"

But the big question is: did they fix the Human Torch problem yet? In other words, are they still making it so only his fingertips "flame on" and not his whole body?

edit: Never mind. I caved and read the script. They are making his whole body "flame on" now. Okay, they've caught my attention again. ;)

I was expecting Sean Austin... weird.
You know, Sam from Lord of the Rings.
I also heard about Shawn William Scott as Human Torch, and George Clooney as Mr. Fantastic. But that's going against the typical comic movie formula. Cast some unknowns/ B-Listers as the main parts, then more popular guys in the supporting parts. Patrick Stewert and Ian McKellen are B-List enough, right? I mean, Famke Jansenn and James Mardsen are, but...
Anyway, I hope he doesn't make the FF all black. Sure, Kingpin was fine (improved, even) but they can't totally alter the history like that. Making the Thing black would be cool, though. That's what they originally planned for him in Ultimate FF, too. See? Reading Wizard helps!

Um, Michael Chiklis isn't black.

Well, that Christina Milian sure is beautiful, but she looks nothing like Sue Storm!
