That's right. Tomorrow, I'm leaving for two weeks to see if I can make France my little cheese monkey puppet nation. (Fine, I'm really going on a school trip.) Anyway, leave any questions you have about our over-the-Atlantic cousins, or just leave something for me to read when I get back.

(Expected replies to this thread: 2, one from a moderator yelling at me.)

Have a great time.

I've traveled all over Europe and I've only met nice people and I've had great experiences.

One bit of advice:

Go native when dining over there, the biggest mistake I see people make when traveling is trying to eat American style food in a foreign country. Be a little adventurous and try some of the native cuisine, you won't be disappointed.

You guys are lucky, I've never been to Europe, but I've always wanted to go.

Have fun, Wade!

P.S. all ready two replies, and no mods!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE GOING TO FRANCE! WHAT'S WRONG WITH BELGIUM?

OK, so now you've been yelled at by a mod. ;)

Have fun on your trip.

Get busted in Belgium and they don't let you call anyone for five days, no family, no one....

have a good time. just got back from a week in paris myself. a friend is on his fulbright over there and i had free room and board. can't beat that. dress nice, they don't wear jeans and sweatshirts very much. also if your looking for clix, forget it. oh they're there but they are expensive!!!!!! vet blob was 7 euros (about $7.50)!!!! didn't see any of the indy europe exclusives or i would have brought them back. if you ever played dungeons and dragons then i highly recommend the catacombs of paris. underground tunnels full of old burials and wells. spooky. the louvre is awesome too. have fun.

True story:

If you go to see the Arc de Triomphe, there is an underground accessway...I was on a school trip to France 15 years ago (man, I'm old!) and no joke, some people in my class were told by the locals that the only way to see the Arc up close was just to run across 6 lanes of traffic!!!

Paris is one of my favorite cities in the world, especially at night - try to go for a walk around town one evening after dark, that's when I found you really get to appreciate the old vs. new architecture and some of the buildings (Eiffel Tower) are lit up very nicely.

Have fun! :)

I'll bet he's just hoping to find some heroclix opponents who will surrender..

But seriously, wouldn't mind getting out to Europe sometime myself. I've only been to the US, Canada....and California :-)

I see London, I see France...

My only advice is this. Is anyone asks where you're from, say you're Canadian!

If television sitcoms are any indication, an oversees trip means you will become involved with international jewel thieves. Beware.
