I am pretty sure that Patrick Stewart said that he would do another. Halle I think was at the end of her run though, not like she had any lines or anything.

Jackman is quite certain to be in it I believe, for they are also working on a Wolverine movie starring Hugh.

I don't mind if they leave out Storm...if they introduce someone else as a core character...like:
Gambit
Beast
or better yet Psylocke!

Not that it will happen though. Storm is my favourite character so I'm sad she won't be in it, but then they chouldn't have chosen Halle Berry to play her. She's not the kind of actress playing in a couple of the same movies after each other I guess. Or they should have given her a bigger role!

Anyway, if we get Beast and Gambit in the next movie I''m happy enough.

I saw in an interview once that Stewart and a few others signed on for a 3 picture deal.
Hope that includes all the major players we all want to see!

For some people it's probably a nice feeling not to be the
actor carrying the entire movie. Ensemble casts are always more
fun to watch for me anyways.

The moment that all changed was when Halle won the Oscar.

Now, she was an "established star" and deserved roles that met that status. This is why she has taken the role of "Catwoman" over being a minor player in "X-Men 3"

But truth be told, Storm is one of those characters that would be missed in a movie, but really isn't essential. If push comes to shove, they could have someone like Tyra Banks take over the role and it would still work...

im personally bummed that jean is signed on for another... i really can't stand phoenix stories and was hoping that they would take one episode off and deal with something else.. at this point, we know that the movie is going to deal a decent amount (at least) with phoenix and can probably predict the rest of the movie...

a friend was in Vegas, for some movie theater convention, and Ray Park was there signing photos and such (got me a Darth Maul photo signed) and he CONFIRMED that he will be in X3, and be back as Toad.

I reeeeeeeeally despise Halle Berry, and thought Storm was the most useless and least appealling character in the first two movies, so I'll be glad if she isn't in the 3rd.

the reason none of the big names in x-men and x2 are signed on yet is that there is no screenplay yet. patrick stewart is NOT going to sign on a movie without atleast a first draft script. people like taylor mane NEED jobs so they are willing to sign in advance.

Nightcreaper is correct. Stuart and McKlelan didn't sign on for X2 until they had read a script. It's just good business. If you don't have a script, you might wind up in a movie that is obviously going to be lame. George Clooney didn't read the script for Batman and Robin before signing on, and I can guarantee you he regrets that illadvised decision. Only actors with few to no options for employment sign contracts for movies they know nothing about.

Catwoman has finished filming so nothing keeps Halle Berry from appearing in a yet to go into production Xmen 3. As a matter of fact, the last article I read on the subject said every single one of the characters was anxious to be in the next film..INCLUDING Halle Berry.
