Baxter building help wanted

hey a couple of my friendss and i are making the baxter building.

its about 3 or so feet high and 8 X 8 squares, but its covered in brown paper (dont ask)



how can we decorate it, so it looks good.

well first of all, if its three feet high, it should be more the 8x8. and what are you using to make it?

Its two boxes stacked and then wrapped (perfect size)


all i need to know is how to decorate it.

I'd use a paint program to map a grid pattern of black lines on white, like a checkerboard, but with no black squares, right?

Then I'd stretch it, so that instead of white squares, I've got white rectangles.

Print it out in sheets. Carefully affix sheets to box. Beginning to look like a glass-sided skyskraper, yes?

Print a couple sheets paper in grayscale tones. Cut into strips about 1/2 inch wide. Carefully affix these around the building, about four inches apart, to mark the stories, yes?

Use paint program to create doors for the ground floor, and hatches, heliport, etc., for the roof. Presto!

I've got images for the outside of a Baxter Building, excepting the ICBM tube - still gotta add that! I print these onto full page (8 1/2" x 11") laserjet sticker sheets and then just put them down onto foamboard.
