I was wondering if their is any marks or anything really that tells you if their is a unique in the booster box.

No......BUT the bat sentry booster is heavier than a standard booster, and the CM uniques are flyers all but 2 of them so if you "squeeze the charmin", and hear the crinkle of the bag that flyers come in and you can tell it's the 3rd slot down from the top it might be your lucky day.....

And there is a few illegal un-fair ways to go about it but it really depneds on where you buy your boosters......

shaking the boosters to feel the looseness was the way we looked fr uniques(and it worked) i got sskrull and medus because of that.

Hmmm this thread is fishy...

Why not try the luck of the draw instead of trying to con your way into some uniques. n00b.

lol..this is a question I've wondered about too.. The old star wars CCG had some kind of serial # or something.. this comic place near my place could give you a pack with the card you need if he liked you...

Just to add fuel to the fire...since the Marquee I have purchased 6 boosters, all with Green Lantern on it. Out of those 6 boosters I have pulled 4 uniques-- Superman, Magog, Mr. Bones, and just today Nubia. Watch there be a run on Green Lantern boxes now!!!

I agree whole-heartedly with Dr Mid-Knight's sentiment, if not the manner of speaking! Uniques are packaged at random to give everyone a fair shake. If you really want a particular figure with limited funds, it's cheaper just to buy it as a single.

If you buy two packs at a time and have lousy odds, that's about what you should expect. Forget about the fancy math. In one case, there are 8 boosters with a unique and 40 boosters without. Which are you more likely to pull if you try one pack? The more you pull, the better your odds of hitting one of those 8. My suggestion is to save up and split a sealed case among your friends, Make sure to divvy up the uniques equally among the people involved, just so there are no hard feelings.

If you never, ever pull uniques, make sure the place you're buying isn't opening a case, opening packs until all the uniques are gone, and selling the rest of the boosters to clients.

Shaking or squeezing or peeking is definitely unfair to the other people buying. If you can't stand the randomness of it, buy singles from a trustworthy dealer, and spare yourself the flood of Rookie Corsairs which I'm innundated with! I've started stepping on them when I pull one, but that's the random draw for ya.

BTW, if you want people to sympathize, don't say you just want your money's worth. For your money, you're getting 4 random figs, as advertised.

ESP has always worked for me... ;)

I've heard the Penguin boosters held the most Cosmic Justice uniques and the Batgirl boosters held the most Unleashed uniques. I have squeezed them before, but it is far from reliable. I went 0-6 on uniques in the two Marquees I played in with both Batgirl and Supergirl boosters. I saw 2 uniques drawn from Green Lantern boxes. After the second Marquee, I bought one more Batgirl booster and pulled a Nu'bia.

You keep on squeezin' Boomstick420!

C'mon guys and gals! We pay good money for a box of toys, the contents of which WE HAVE NO IDEA!!!! WE COULD ALREADY OWN THEM!!! I OFTEN DO!!! Just 'cos the guy is trying to get something good other than a frigging Moloid by being 'oh so naughty' I don't think he should be n00b'ed.

I like Heroclix. I like seeing all those characters brought to life. But I don't want to continue adding Rookie Marrows, Selenes, Blobs, Boomers and Calypso's to the landfills of England.

How much is a case of Heroclix? I dunno, I never brought one. I do go into shops and pick-up a couple of boxes every now and then. a friend of mine has a 9 year old son, he loves them. But I tell you, he's more than gutted when he opens a booster and has every single figure already. I know, someone is going to say luck of the draw, but sod that! I just paid £5.50 for that! Jesus! I think thats about $8. On what? Nothing I or he wanted.
They even went and upped the Unique count on the last couple of sets without expanding the number of actual figures in the set. So, you know what? You're getting even more rubbish for your money. Why in God's name did they make Warbird a Unique? Pease ,someone must seen where I'm coming from!!!

So, if some guy wants to perform the 'vile' act of box-squeezin', you can call him a n00b, I call him shrewed.

No need to be snide I Am The Game. I read your post and obviousy agree the only way to buy singles is from a singles dealer. Thats if I can find one. The alternative, buying a case, well, thats not an option for me, I don't have that much money to spend in one hit.

Points still stand.

You do know there's a spell check button right? If only it could help you with the grammatical errors too...

and to add onto that theme CUZ, it wouldn't hurt if their were a place to add some punctuation as well. Boom, have you ever heard of a period or comma?? ( just teasing ya!)hehehe. I think the problem with spell check is that so many of the words I "try" to read on here, are so far off that even the computer can't help ... lol.
