Rumor has it the the next Bond film will be Pierce's last one, & that Hugh Jackman, amoungst others, will be considered to play the next Bond.

Other people who are rumored to play James Bond are: Orlando Bloom, Russel Crowe, Ewan McGregor, & Christian Bale. There are others, too, but I can't remember who they are.
Ewan McGregor would be the better Bond.

When I heard Orlando Bloom's name, it threw me off. I could see him playing James Bond Jr., but not James Bond, yet.
Orlando Bloom is still the Flavor of the Month. Is he even from somewhere in the British Empire?
Ewan McGregor can be charming(Moulan Rouge, Big Fish, Down with Love) and he can do action (Star Wars) Besides of those mentioned he's the only Scot.

Did you ever watch 21 Jumpstreet, or it spin off Booker?
Or maybe try Yahoo instead of Google?
No, I've never watched 21 Jump Street or Booker.

Johnny Depp was the best thing to come off of 21 Jump St anyway.
Unfortunately I can still remember the theme song (I had an older sister who could kick my @$$, so she got the TV Thursday nights). The only reason for me to sit through that show was that it was followed by "Nightmare on Elm Street: The Series"

Over here in the UK the favourite for the role is Clive Owen, who appreared in Gosford Park along with various other films and dramas on TV. Good actor with just abouth the right intensity for it.
Otherwise, of the ones mentioned so far I think Russell Crowe would make a great Bond, but I doubt if the budget would stretch that far.

 I like 21 Jump Street. Theme song sung by Holly Robinson, who also acted in the show.

Jason Isaacs would make an interesting Bond to me...though his forte seems to be villains (which he plays to perfection).
What do people think of Hugh Jackman as Bond after watching "Van Helsing?" At least they got the "Q" interaction down right. :)

Clive Owen was the last person I had heard linked to Bond. For us Americans, the last thing we saw him in was "Beyond Borders" with Angelina Jolie. He was also in "The Bourne Identity" as the The Professor, Assassin. His next movie should garner him some real exposure -- He's playing the lead role in "King Arthur", coming out later this year. On a side note -- Keira Knightley is playing Guinevere. Hubba hubba!
