Ive recently got back into comics a few months ago. I started to collect the Darkness cause of Dale Keown was drawing it. 6 or so issues later he's gone. Captain America and Falcon, I finally get to see Bart Sears draw again. 5 issues later he's done also. Does anyone else get baffled by the continous bouncing around of artists and writers to comic to comic for only 5 issues or so? Or do you like see your favorite artist just for one story line and gone?

I agree with you brianhandwerk. I hate it when they change creative teams. But there are some titles who have consistent creative teams. Ultimate Spiderman have been Bendis and Bagley since issue #1 and theres never been a fill-in artist or writer. Also Ultimates, I don't think Marvel would hand it to any other creative teams out there except to Millar and Hitch. Ultimates is synonymous to Milaar/Hitch tandem, without them it wouldn't be Ultimates.

Daredevil is also consistent, although Mack had to step in for Bendis for five issues because Bendis was overworked. Bendis voluntarily and temporarily stepped-down from Daredevil to make room for the limited series Ultimate Six. I think Bendis is Back in Daredevil now, so I guess the book is starting to generate heat again

i don't like it. i'd much rather have someone stick around for the long run. if not the artist, then at least the writer.

by and large, people use it as an excuse to create a memorable dramatic twist or create yet another character to try to establish a creative property rather than adhere to the groundwork writers had tried to establish before it.

Oh God yuck. I CANNOT stand when they change up writers/artist so consistently. If I'm reading a TPB and they change the artist for even one issue I get madder than a bull. I've lost all interest in Punisher because Dillon is gone. I think the problems stalking the industry right now is that they can't get back to their 80's style of having a Writer/Artist combo for a decade. The Batman books (particularly during No Mans Land) had a change in artist every issue and they were almost all bad. Word to the companies, ink exclusive books and put a permanent creative team on books. Organize yourselves!

I hate the constant changing.I wonder why it's happening so much. With a few execptions these stories are awful.

Amen about the Batman books! I can't stand MOST of the artists they have in those.
