Hello again. I've gone ahead and hosted these pics myself, as Yahoo was seeming to be unreliable. These will also probably be much better quality and better resemble the 500% to normal size that I scanned them in at.

I think they're all looking good. Should be interesting to see if Ultimate Colossus is more powerful than the r/e/v Colossus.
They are only seeming to work on AOL. I wont be buying ultimates but nice photos. I always thought wizkids would resort to the ultimate U when clix was running out of steam and there were no ideas left. I would much rather see age of apoc than rereleases of characters that we already have who are no different.

The problem with why we can't see these pictures is because there's no file extension; it's just "Xorn," not "Xorn.jpg" or "Xorn.png" or whatever.

I'm interested to see how the mail-away Xorn differs from the Unique. Maybe the LE will have the same sculpt, without a head, and a dial full of KO...
Colossus looks great. The first confirmed figure I have any interest in.....Bring on Thor!

looks like this time marvel decided to put a bit more into the sculpts then before. id pay more for better figs...with the stats that are right though :cool:

Yeah, and those were my post as well. People were saying there was a problem seeing them on Yahoo so I decided to put them up here and hopefully some others could see them if they missed them before. Now it sounds like these don't work for everybody either, so I guess I can't win. :(

Hmmm Xorn looks like the standout sculpt of the three. I'm still booting for an 86ish point Colossus. He shouldn't be more powerful than Shulkie or Professor X.
I just download the pics and add .jpg to the end of the file name and they open fine.

Don't be fooled by bases in advance pix in ads or magazines. Remember the ads with pix of Magog on a flying base or Thor on a non-flying base?
I do like the figs. Something about that Guardian/Vindicator suit that I like. I've always liked costumes based on flags, and the red/white combo seems to work very well. So, does this mean no Alpha Flight TA? Shucks.

I have to say that the Vindicator sculpt is amazing. We get so many poor female sculpts with incredibly thin limbs that it is nice to see one with actual musculature, and in a very dynamic pose (but not awkward like Archangel).
All very nice, though I, too, think the Vindicator one is the nicest of the three in terms of the quality of the sculpt, the proportions and subtle details. (Note the stretch line in the costume on her inner thigh, for instance.) She seems to have rather large hands for a woman, though.

a Collosus dial that looks just like a vet.hercules dial, but with imperv. would make me happy

Nah, I think this Colossus should be at least 150 in the Vet. He carried a frickin Nuclear Sub onto dry land! For cripeys sake! Stopping a very long train going full tilt!
I am gonna go ahead and say 17 d with impervious (he doesn't need to breath when in steel form, and I haven't seen him KO'd yet.) Decent AV maybe 9-10, possibly 11 but 10 would be fine, Charge, Superstrength and like 4 base damage for a really good long while. That or he should pull an Absorbing Man and just have a Kick A consistant dial.
That or he should have a littel bit of every color to make a Rainbow Dial.;)

Yeti, if you haven't seen Collosus KO'd go back and read the Weapon X arc. Juggy walks out with Big C on his shoulder.

That probably depends on if they had made the figure before Morrison pulled it out of his ### that Xorn was Magneto. :cheeky:
not familiar w/ the ultimate x-men comics, but a newer/tougher colossus would be great. i love him as he is, but it'd be nice to him either with some beefier stats or without that activation click.

an activation click with x-men = 1 free push click for them (for me i usually push jean) ,but now the x-men have the ultimate team ability so i hope colossus doesn't get the activation click.....

In normal Marvel Universe continuity I agree. However ... in Ultimates (and don't tell me about how you hate Ult. Marvel ... I don't care) ... It took a small tactical nuclear weapon to take down Colossus. He beat the ever living tar out of Ultimate Thor (who is quite a bad arse in his own right) he decimated U Iron Man. I would expect this Colossus to range from 70-120 points -- especially after looking at U Wolvies stats and point totals. Remember also that 2000 AD ain't cheap :o

Yea Ult Colossus lifted and carried a busted submarie out of the ocean. He was also able to defy Magneto's powers and he held his own against Thor. He's way more powerful.
why am I not surprised that that the first post is a fine vintage whine......:rolleyes:
They look neat though. piquing my interest a little.:grin:

LE Xorn flies... & probably has Magneto (on Kick) stats! :grin:
Vindicator may bring HSS back to Marvel, but I'm begining to think they're keeping that a DC only power... i.e. If we ever get another Nightcrawler it'll be Shadow cat w/ BCF & a higher movement.
I almost hope they get REV Xorn wrong & give him Support since it was lacking on Vet Archangel... Otherwise give him Magneto stats (ESD, TK) & let the LE get Invul. w/ a 19def like Inv. Woman has!
Don't read Ultimates, but I'm hoping for Xp Colosus w/ Imp & a higher def. An Absorbing man dial would rock!... Only w/ straight damage to avoid the cost of CCE... like Exp Absorbing man

I've been looking forward to the Ultimates expansion as it was...but after seeing Cap, Phoenix, Xorn, Big C, and Vindicator, I'm actually thinking a case or two may be in order this time around. I think they definately improved on the sculpts. Can't wait!
Draddog, do you realise that these pictures and their captions have been copied from the exclusive preview in the latest Inquest? Given that you've already had one legal notice from them, putting this on the HCRealms home page seems hazardous...

I was already pumped about the Ultimate line, but seeing the Colossus figure--one of my favorite characters of all time--just cinched the deal.
This may be a stupid question, but is Xorn the only mailaway from the Ultimate line so far?

I believe the pics are now hosted by HCRealms. I actually scanned the pics myself and had them hosted through AOL, but not everyone was able to view them. They use to be links to the pictures but the actual pics should be showing for everyone now as far as my understanding goes.

Anyway, I too like the sculpt and the fact we've gotten anyone from Alpha Flight.
But, I'll bet all AFers will have Avengers TA just like Meteorite did for T-Bolts. Disappointing but I'll take anything I can get.

I'm not an x-fan by any stretch of the imagination (I've actually never picked up a single issue), but from a straight sculpt perspectives, these may be the prettiest clix I've ever seen. Is anyone else in agreement with me that Collossus looks shiny, like he's painted with similar paint as the LE Surfer? Look at his forehead.

Hmmm, but since the Kree use the SHIELD ability, the Thunderbolts use the Avengers team ability, maybe Alpha Flight will use either X-men or (at least better from a game standpoint, but less sensible comic wise) Defenders?

Ah I'm glad to see the start of Alpha Flight in the game!! Like the others, I too wish there was a team ability to go with it. I like Vindicator too, but I prefer her in green and yellow.
Here's to hoping a couple more AF are in this set!

...eh, sort of. I ain't no slobbering fanboy. But I am glad to finally see some Alphans.
If they have a TA of their own, good - I'll play a theme team for sure every chance I get. Let's hope for a maple leaf and not some stupid "AF" symbol.
If they don't get their own TA - no worries - then there's more points to go into powers and stats, so the figs will kick more butt. Especially compared to a lot of X-Men and FF members, whose TAs drag them way down.

Excellent point! It doesn't take a TA to make a theme team after all. And if they did get an ability it would only make other people upset that it either doesn't fit the team or is pointless. ;)

Critical Mass remains my second favorite set to date, just after Clobberin' Time - based largely on the figure selection.

I'm hoping for a super badass Colossus, too, because I love the guy. The thing is, though, the Ultimate version doesn't really have the 'Colossus Skin Lines' that the regular U has. He's always been completely smooth and gleaming.
Not that I mind. Even easier to pretend it's the regular universe Colossus. THAT IS SUPER GREAT SUPER GREAT!

We'll have to see how well they look in real life. If Marvel sets actually start looking good, all Marvel-only clixer's will have only the stats and the cool abilities to complain about....
Now, with WK doing stuff with Alpha Flight, I'll be interested in Marvel once again. Granted, its an odd numbered set, so its reverse Star Trek logic for Marvel Heroclix sets, we'll have to see how bad they screw up the following set after this one to see if they've broken their pattern of good set/bad set/good set/bad set.

Yeah turdburglar, I was expecting U Collossus to not have the metal segment lines also. Kubert always drew him as just shiny skin all over (like th movie version) in keeping with their more 'realistic' take on them.
He did appear with the lines in Ultimate War though (and a couple of fill in issues). That artist (whose name is escaping me at the moment....Humberto something or other) seemed to not realise the difference in appearance, which really annoyed me. And more annoying that the Clix looks like the it's based on his pics, not Kubert's. Pretty sure that the submarine issue was drawn by him as well.

Oh, and I am ROYALLY peeved that Heather is in the set without an Alpha Flight TA. Instead we get the carbon copy Ult X-men team and Morlocks! For crying out loud Wizkids, give us some REAL teams, and stop trying to #### up to the "ever-popular X-men" fans.

Jon L. told me that if an Alpha Flight member had a TA, it would be X-Men...
Man, Ultimate Colossus should be a monster. A lot of Impervious down the dial then invulnerability. This guy is just plain incredibly durable!
At least 4 damage with super strength. I say a 140 - 150 point figure. Waaay more powerful than normal Colossus.

I've said this in a couple posts already, and people have said it a dozen times here, too, but I hope Colossus kicks booty! His sculpt looks pretty cool, and from what I've read of Ult. X-Men (which admitedly was only the Return of the King story), he's going to be bad-arse. And I'm crossing my fingers for no activation click.

Forgot to add those to Marvel fan's gripe list. :)
I do have to agree with you though. Having 2 new TA which are wastes is stupid. As least with Unleashed, it was two abilities that were new and unique, and one very useful ability (KC) and one so-so ability, depending on how many figures are released with it (SS)
My only hope is that there are at least 2 more Alpha Flight figures in the set, so at least you've got 3 AF figures to play if you want to play theme. Only 2 Suicide Squad members makes it difficult to build a SS team, its more like a partnership then. :)
