As the HEron prince makes a clean sweep, we get to the halfway point of round 1. This great match up gives us:

Ida Red-Ida Red is currently the sherrif of a small town in Texas that was irradiated by nuclear fallout from a failed power plant scheme. As a result the majority of the population and a large portion of the local fauna (and some flora) became mutants, some with unusual powers others with just abnormal physical characteristics. Ida's body is infused with energy, she can throw this energy in a controlled fashion (thanks to her gloves without which she loses focus) that she can vary from intesity of small shocks to being able to turn cars into smoking holes. She can fly with perfect maneuverability for short periods of time (a few minutes), she also has matter manipulation powers that she has so far been only able to utilize to "change" her clothes. In addition the energy inside her helps to counteract damage her body sustains, but this drains her significantly. Mutant is a small relitively quiet town, so while talented Ida is only mildly experienced

In the descrpition it didn't say, I wrote it but there was more, that Diehard has been a superhero since WW2. He has years and years of experience. He knows how to deal with super powered people. Ida I believe lacks much experience with her powers. Her inexperience gives Diehard a huge bonus. Diehard can take more damage then Ida, he can take a beating and keep on delivering the damage. The enviroment is just icing on the cake.
