Greetinx! :)

I am looking for miniatures of ever-popular anime characters, such as Tenchi and Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo!

I've been looking on the internet but all I get is porn :s*

Best Regards

Unfortunately, the small figures of anime characters are almost always too large for Heroclix. There are tons of PVC miniatures of anime characters, but they are about double the size of clix figures or bigger. The only anime characters I've ever seen that were the right size were Dragonball Z PVC figures. They were made years ago, and are very hard to find these days. The main problem in finding them is that there were TWO sets of PVC figures. One of them is the same too large size as everyone else makes. The other is just right. The problem is that the same sculpts were used for BOTH versions. The best way to tell the difference was the packaging. Large ones came in clear plastic bags. The small ones were in opaque foil packs, and you didn't know who was inside the pack.

Greetinx! Thanks for your reply :)

Well - I eventually managed to find someone who does 'anime style' miniatures. No idea of the quality but we shall see, I am going to order a load of 'tenchi style' miniatures for a 'custom clix' event :P

Altho, I think I'll have to paint them....that'll be...interesting :P I might have to bribe a friend of mine to do the dirty :P

Best Regards

Actually, you can find a variety of anime and anime-styled minis in 28mm, but it's a pain in the butt. A few years back, the bubblegum machines in my area offered Street Fighter characters for a quarter each; I stocked up, because they were good for spare parts and such. And the Dragonball minis have already been mentioned.

Considering the sheer volume of product the Japanese toymakers pump out every year, I'd be surprised if Tenchi 28mm minis didn't exist somewhere.

It is rather late now, but a while back (around 8-10 years I belive) someone produced a set of Bubblegum Crisis miniatures, from the old 80's series. They produced the four Knight Sabers suits and two variety of Boomers. These figures were the same size as most gaming miniatures, 25-28mm. These would be perfect of course, just assemble, paint and place on the base. The trouble is finding them. I've never found them for sale, but I have seen them reviewed, long ago. Try ebay and the like.

For others, I would suggest looking at other gaming miniatures for something close and do conversions/painting to get closer.
