Under the new defining of impervious,it now states that the d6 roll is to ruduce damage to zero, otherwise it is reduced to two.Does this mean you can now mastermind damage to someone with impervious, and they can roll to reduce to 0?

Yes, since you can roll Impervious when the character with the power is dealt damage, you can Mastermind to a figure with it and use it. The down side to how Impervious works now compared to when it first came out is that you no longer get to roll it with Mind Control or the basic form of Incapacitate since those don't deal any actual damage (higher than 0).

Fair trade,I think.

Another thing to note with Imp now (for those of you who are superstitious when it comes to dice, like me) is that the roll is required if you want to have the damage reduced by two. This is a problem for me, because I feel like that 4-6 is wasted if I roll it to resist, say...Poison damage (to use an example that actually happened to me tonight).

...but then, I'm nutty about dice rolls. If I idly roll the dice and they come up boxcars, I feel like I "wasted" that 12. At the same time, if I roll snake eyes, I feel like I'm conditioning the dice to come up 2. Silly.

Impervious is an optional power, so it may be cancelled (or 'turned off') voluntarily. If so, Poison will affect the character.

not really it will only turn off if u want it to so poisen would not affect it unless u decide to turn it off

Wow. Until I read this thread I had not realized that Impervious was once defined as, basically, being a combination of Super Senses and Invulnerability, where you could make a roll and simply shrug off an attack completely, even one that did no damage.

Overall, the redefinition is a good one, as it keeps Super Senses a bit unique. (Under Doc Nebula’s HeroClix House Rules!, I define Super Senses as allowing a fig to perceive Stealthed characters, as well, making the power extremely useful and bringing it more into line with how it is used in comics... but of course, that has nothing to do with 'legal' HeroClix play.) Still, I find myself now wistful for a time when Imperious worked, well, the way it worked in the Silver Age, on characters like Superman and Captain Marvel, where attacks generally simply didn't work on them. (Certainly it makes no sense that the Black Widow can even momentarily paralyze Superman, so him being able to shrug off an Incapacitate attack is more in keeping with the comics.)

On a slightly different subject, it recently occurred to me that we shouldn't need an Exploit Weakeness power, and honest to God, I don't know how this thing works, anyway. Super Strength should cause defensive powers like Impervious, Invulnerability, and Toughness to all be lowered by one level. This would be much neater than creating a new power, and it's EXACTLY how it works in comics... strong, tough superhumans ignore people with normal strength all the time, but someone else with Superstrength can always hurt them, at least a little. Thus, a character with Impervious would only be Invulnerable if he were hit with Super Strength (Spider-Man, whose damage never gets over 2 no matter how much we Peter Parker fans beg WizKids otherwise, would still not be able to hurt Superman, which is, I suppose, fair), an Invulnerable character would only be Tough, and a Tough character would take full damage from a Super-strong attack.

It's simple and neat, and would free up that light green shade on Damage to be used for something else... like the badly needed, long overdo Re-Energize power that TAKES ACTION TOKENS OFF A FIG.

Ah, I'm rambling. It happens when you get old.

Kart5Racer- If someone mind controls a character of yours with impervious, they can turn it off while they possess your character.
