View Full Version : Vindicator oddity
Why does Vindicator have the Avengers' team ability. Did she ever join?

it might be in lieu of making an Alpha Flight TA. A la Kree warriors w/ the Shield TA.

I'm thinking the same...Avengers TA in Marvel might mean "Government sponsored super team"

Makes a WHOLE-LOT-O-SENSE, when you consider that Alpha Flight is one of the new teams in Mutant Mayhem, huh?
So I guess that means that the Alpha Flight TA will be a Free Move (a la Avegers TA)?

New teams?
I thought they werent making any new teams since they no longer have enough room on the powers card?

I don't remember anything specifically being said that there wouldn't be any new TA. I do remember the JonL interview saying something along the line of "it being difficult to come up with new powers and TA because there is only so much room on the PAC."

IF they retire Clobberin' Time around the time of Mutant Mayhem's release, that will elimate the Skrulls team ability from any of the tournament legal figures. So it may free up space for a new team ability. This would sadly mean no more Super Skrull as well.

I asked this very question to a good friend of mine and he said that Alpha Flight is supposed to be a side-faction of the Avengers, which is why Vindicator was given an Avenger's TA (since AF's TA isnt in the game yet).

Hmm never heard that before. Alpha Flight is a Canadian Governement sponsored team. No connections to the Avengers that I know of....

I think what they're saying is that Alpha Flight is to the Canadian government what the Avengers are to the American government. That is:
Avengers=US government-sponsored team
Alpha Flight=Canadian government-sponsored team.
Granted, Alpha Flight seems much more reliant on the Canadian government. It seems that whenever the government pulls their budget spending, Alpha Flight disbands. On the other hand, the Avengers could probably survive without US government cash. Actually, I don't know if the US bankrolls the Avengers at all. It could be all Tony Stark's cash.

actually the guy in th ecomcis that created alpha flight was inspired by the ff. if you go to marveldirectory.com
and look around under either vindicator or alpha flight it should give a better description.
