Lancelot's Crypt Keeper

As is usual fare when I play Horrorclix w/ my pals, I managed to play both sides at least once. And I believe I've hooked someone. HALLEJUAH!

When playing the Killer Klowns From Outer Space, the +3 advantage I had in Plot Twists effectively kept Santa from Frenzying and getting up in close, letting Yama run the board with his Snapshot ability (8 move and 4 range is nothing to scoff at, especially when his pies hit you for 3 damage). The PTs also dealt plenty of tertiary damage without my usual dreadful rolls. Santa and his little helpers were helpless in face of the killer klown horde, although the Carny has to get a respective nod for constantly hitting his Insanity roll and instilling fear in the police force, effectively distracting them for a good 2 turns or so, allowing the clowns and Ringmaster to set up and gobble up victims for their Spree.

On the flip side of things, as soon as I took control of the carnival-busting raid, I made it a point to burn through the enormous 9-PT Crypt of the killer klowns, building up Officer Friendly's Righteous or simply accepting the victim denials in lieu of burning PT cards. At the same time, I knew I couldn't let either killer klown flunky to get all worked up with victims for their Spree and a timely Hair Spray Blowtorch got rid of the one-click wonder that is the Snack Pack (we both didn't even know the Snack Pack had only one click until the use of the PT, incurring chuckles all around). Furthermore, the Psychic victim pulled out the Tire Iron and dropped the Carny. The dice was just on my side in this game. Before long, I managed to get Santa Frenzied up and into Yama's face to cut down on him Snapshotting all over the place. With the Officer Squad lined up in a firing corridor, Yama went down fast and hard, leaving the rest of his flunkies next to no chance towards taking down the jolly old guy.

I'm looking forward to the next Horrorclix flip-flop play night where I'll probably try some sort of vampire vs. werewolf bloodbath as a homage to True Blood!

TEAM 2: LE Morgana (+2), REV Razorvixen, EV Vampire Enforcer
PTs (+2 but bypassed*): Tire Iron, Frozen With Fear, Fire Axe, Cocoon, Severed Limb, Ambush

*due to the late start time, we bypassed the extra Plot Twists to speed up the game

On paper, it seemed like the extra two figures and superior range (two 6 figures in Morgana and V Razorvixen) that the fight would be even.

With me running the Zombies at first, it was evident that "paper evidence" is filmsy. Balance was FAR AND WIDE: the ability to constantly soak up and heal up damage just allowed the Zombie Oz cast to devour the Vampires whole. It didn't help that most of the Plot Twists the Vampires had were largely ineffective against the Stamina'd Zombies.

Flipping sides around with me taking on the Vampires, I tried to keep Morgana & V Razorvixen in the rear, but deft victim(s) moving and the inevitability of the Zombies eventually catching up, the end result was the same: a total and complete devouring by the Zombies.

The MVP both times were easily the Tin-Man with his ability to couple Spree with Frenzy and his ability to ignore most Plot Twists thanks to Stamina.

That said, in hindsight, the Vampires should've ran a crypt full of victim movement manipulation than damage dealers.

I guess Vampires really cannot drink bad blood.
