My resolve has not been too good this week. Bought four boosters at another venue where I played Sunday (it wasn't a sealed event). I have decided that charlzm and I need to form a clix support group like aa. He bought some, so I bought some. Sad. Managed to not buy any Tuesday at my venue, though I came close. Resolve failed me again today at the comic store, bought two more.

I would feel less bad, but of those 6 boosters this week, all I really got was Prime Ravager. I got three more common Fairchilds. She is every other booster for me, literally.

Came really close to buying a brick Friday. I rationalized the cost for most of the day, but when crunchtime came, I just bought the two boosters for the sealed event. The event was at a store where I have store credit, and after the event I used it to buy another Super Booster in the hopes of pulling one of the two I needed(no cash out of pocket, so it was okay, right?) and I pulled Trigon! I had a feeling so I bought the other and got the JLA team base completign my team based collection. So far I have bought only 10 boosters and 9 super boosters(sold two to friends for cost). I have a lot of holes in my CURSRCh, but I am sticking to my plan to fill those at the cons and through trades. The obsession to buy has faded. I think I may have made it through the tough part.

Okay, so release day has come and gone. So far I have bought 8 booster: 4 leftovers from the sealed event where I judge, and 2 each in two sealed events. I have bought 7 superboosters, pulling three Gen 13s(have traded one and am selling another to a buddy) and two Titans Tower(sold one to a friend for the cost of the booster) and received a Titans Tower in the aforementioned trade (my son needs one too). So far I have spent a little more than I would have spent on one case, bought no singles, but I have done a little trading. Out of 8 boosters I have 4 booty Fairchilds, 3 Statics, and 3 Aquamen. I mean I like Aquaman as much as the next guy but geesh. One more sealed tomorrow night and one one in two weeks at my venue (my wife and son play) and I think that will be it for boosters for me. Working okay so far.

I am not a completionist *completely*...but it bothers me when I am missing just one piece (ASM's Frankencastle) to complete an entire set, or else missing one or two pieces that I actually do want (Chaos War's Morgan Le Fay or Galactic Guardians Mr. Fantastic). Not having GG's Hulk, Iron Man or Spider-Man LEs doesn't bother me at all, since I got the Wolverine LE that I really wanted.

Now...with that having been said...I *am* addicted to really good deals. When I see a low price for boosters or Gravity Feed, and I feel that it will give me a good chance to get something I want for a lesser cost...I jump on it. Not the best financial reasoning, as it is a gamble, but let's face the facts that there are far worse addictions to have in this world!

I def think it is wise to wait. I got a ridiculous discount ($470 for 2 cases, a CTD, a FF, and 4 extra SBs), but I likely won't get it til tomorrow. Even then, I set myself up to not really be ble to trade for another couple weeks (finishing up an auction) or even a couple months (wife is 8 months pregnant), so I may be waiting quite a while before fully jumping into this set. By then, I hope the prices will have fallen enough to allow my trade fodder to go a lot further. I look forward to see how this experiment goes for you.
