I hadn't played her until I repainted one to her Black Lantern outfit and ran her on a team of other BL mods/ repaints. She was certainly the most suprising MVP for that game and she's become a staple on other teams.
I'm not sure where you're seeing this. The power itself doesn't say anything about not being able to be canceled. If you outwit her power, then they're not stuck anymore are they?
In the new rulebook any game effect that has a specific duration )like Incap which says to remove the tokens at the end of the turn) does not end when the power is countered.
Barrier is another one that doesn't go bye-bye when countered because it states the markers are removed at the beginning of your turn. So you can push to use barrier and if you lose the power, the markers still remain on the battlefield.

You may want to read that again.

Barrier does indeed have a specific duration, so Barrier tokens are removed if Barrier is countered or lost. Incapacitate does not specify a duration, so any action tokens placed with Incapacitate remains if the power is countered or lost.
Freeze in place does specify a duration, so if it is countered or lost the targeted figure is free to move again.
