by giving out nines, they are making 10 range a commodity just for legit snipers. silly punisher, his sniper rifle only goes 8 squares :P

I think the reduction in range makes the game less about sniping and more about skirmishing.

One of these days, just for fun & giggles, Wizkids need to do a figure (possibly a Leap-Climber) with 1 range.

Heroclix named Katana are surprisingly easy to decapitate...
