I think what Funnyman means is that since this Wolvie has Toughness, Sabertooth's power wouldn't trigger (b/c he has to take 3 to be mortally wounded) without perplex or a crit hit or something along those lines.
My personal thought on Wolvie is he should be annoying to kill along with an insane attacker. Wolverine attacks with all he has at all times against all. I think he should fluctuate between 12-10 attack. Should always have toughness and sometimes Super Senses to combo with that. A Trait that allows him to heal a click @ beginning of each round if he was damaged the previous round. Cannot be supported or healed by anyone but himself. And he should have about 10 clicks. The catch would be his defense should never be higher than 17 and mostly around 15 to keep him at around 100 pts. And this last suggestion may have been obvious but load him with BCF, Exploit, Close Combat Expert, Charge and Flurry. Some special powers with a combo of that would be fun.
i like this version of wolvie possibly his best, but i'd like to see a version with indomitable as others have stated, a built in automatic regeneration feat as a trait, toughness, and an ability where when he has no action tokens he can use super senses.
Very cool! These alt F4 members just seem like a lot of fun. Another accurate Wolverine that manages to bring something new along while giving us so much of what we want (Flurry + BCF!!) Can't wait!
seeing as this version's healing trait doesn't use the word "may" or is activated through a free action, that regen click is going to be mighty hard to utilize.
A Wolverine costlier than GSX009 or GSX052 Wolvie, I like the team abilities and the "What If?" factor, but only getting to heal if 3 or more squares away from an opponent? He should have the "heals one click at the beginning of your turn". Throw Vampirism on him to get more mileage out of this version of Logan.
"No, Joker. You’re playing the wrong game. The old game. Tonight you’re taking no hostages. Tonight I’m taking no prisoners."
This Wolverine is getting a lot of heat for his healing factor and I think that's unjustified. On any number of X-men theme teams or FF theme teams, it's incredibly easy to get TK. I don't know if I've ever ran one of those teams without a TK, and if I did, it's probably a bad team. This Wolvie loves to charge in, BCF, and then get emergency scooped out by Marvel Girl, Storm, Psylocke, Gee, Invisible Woman, Cyclops/Phoenix, etc. This guy is sweet and his special damage power is pretty nifty, especially with all the colossals running around. I'd give him a run on a few theme teams first before trading him away, haterz. He just requires a little creativity.
Just won this in a tournament at my venue and i must say, i really like the figure... i'm just a little skeptic about the trait, not being able to heal in the middle of the action is kinda meh (moreover, wolverine from Web of Spiderman could do it even costing less than this )
But let's say I was going up against a colossial...master mold or galactus...that's more at what I was aiming for. Got a buddy putting together a colossial tourney in nov...
