After a bit of reflection, both upon your reasoning and upon my own favorites, I would add the following to the short list of 'great sculpts in clix history'...

CM222 Silver Surfer - Being an LE, Mr. Radd obviously doesn't belong in your list, but I do think he's worth honorable mention. The chrome treatment, which has only ever graced two other figures, transformed this extremely simplistic figure into an eye-catching thing of beauty that still has comparatively few rivals.

OR006 Phantom Lady - Phantom Lady was not the first translucent figure, nor even the first partially translucent... but I believe she was the highwater mark for that particular trick. The effect of the vertical dissolve was striking.

FF048 Iron Fist - You alluded to the quality of the Streetfighter set, which I attribute to the gorgeous motion effects. I can think of no figure sporting such an effort beforehand, or at least none that gelled as well. To some extent I think of the SF set as the descendant of that FF sculpt.

AN050 Superman - Here we have a figure that both captures a stirring image (as does the Flashes) and is enhanced by the presence of extraneous material in the sculpture. To my mind it is the best of both subgroups. As a note of interest, is he still the only figure sporting something purely symbolic on the dial rather than terrain/victims/constructs/special effects?

IH033 Tiger Shark - It's the water that stands out to me for Tiger Shark. It's not the first time we've seen water used, but it far outstrips the others and brings to life the idea of an aquatic character far better than say... a tentacle. Some folks do not care for figures that carry terrain about the battlefield with them, but this usage has such a natural feel to it that I've never heard the kind of complaints that accompany Bane or Black Adam.

All in all, nicely written. While your choices may not be the ones I'd have made, the logic is sound. Admittedly it took me a while to get over the shock of Armor Wars' omission, but looking back, it had an awful lot of D-rank drek to water down those terrific suits.

You made a lot of good points but I agree with this one the most. Only two pieces got the "shiny metallic treatment. The other was Nova (Frankie Rae) and the are totally awesome. If I were doing this by LE's they would rank high I'm sure. They are just too fantastic and carry quite the historical place in clix.

Were there not three? If you will recall, the Wizard Magazine mail-away exclusive Johnny Storm was similarly vacuum-metalized. Poor Johnny. Even someone who loves that sculpt doesn't seem to remember that version.

Darn it. I owe homage to that piece now.... must go meditate to the Johnnie Storm....

You are right. There were three and I stand corrected. I should have remembered that.

BEST CARDED FIGURE SCULPTS. IMO: (Most will be larger scales sculpts (height and thickness), since I feel that makes them more desirable to look at and play with, and increases the collectibility perceptions of what makes a Sculpt/Figure more collectible and warrants the price.

JL: FLash
AV: Grey Hulk
AA: Mostly all figures. (About the Perfect Scale), but vote is a tie between Wonder Woman and Frankenstein
MU: Gambit; Zzzax
CR: Superman Earth 2 #100 (Perfect Scale); Green Arrow
SI: Dr. Doom; The Thing; Iron Man (best sized one yet and love the semi-gloss paint finish); Skrulls; Nick Fury
HOT: Thor/Loki Duo; Thorbuster; Captain America; Daredevil; Warriors Three; Songbird; Phyla-Vell.
WOS: Red Hulk; Cosmic Spiderman; Spiderman figure from Brick Figure; Doctor Octopus; Green Goblin; Sandman; Mysterio.
DC 75th: Doomsday; Bane
GSX: Magneto; Juggernaut; Phoenix (figure should have been bigger); and all Colossals
CA: M.O.D.O.K.; Maelstrom
SU: Darkseid; Imperiex

The type of plastic and paint, they were using with AV through HOT, espeically HOT and WOS, they should be using on all figures. All figures should be as tall and thick as those mentioned above, but Earth 2 Superman and SI Doom and Thing and WOS Hulk and Thor/Loki Duo, and are about the perfect scale.

Wizkids started making sculpts smaller (either shorter or thinner or both) starting with the Brave and the Bold Set. We have only got a few to half dozen decent size sculpts in each set since then, but WOS seemed to have more than the others. If enough people request sculpt size to increase, there is a better chance it will. I truly believe the Sculpt Size and Detail and Quality is what attracts people to the game, and gets them to buy more and pay the prices.

The biggest failure in sculpts, since HOT, was Wizkids making the most popular heroes and villain and sculpts smaller. WOS Iron Man; SU Superman; IH Hulk;CA Captain America; GSX Domino; but the worst set to me is AVM. GG Set is also too small for my preference, especially the Thing.

We have not seen a decent sized Aquaman; Thanos; Green Lantern; Iron Man with Helmet on; or Shazam yet.

.....

8: Human Torch from Fantastic Forces: First of all Fantastic Forces blew a lot of people away with the amazing amount of detail in every single sculpt they made. It was the first set of its kind and to my knowledge they found it expensive and never went that route again. And why would they? Even the dials were laminated! But the Torch, well, they’ve tried, but never beat this awesome sculpt of the Human Torch. And he’s exceptionally detailed right down to the 4 on his chest. On his face you can see his cheek bones and brow lines. Now that’s detail! It’s detail worthy of this list and the number 8 spot.

....

Hope you enjoyed the Top Tens, keep on clixin!

already dont like this listing, you didnt follow your own rules AT ALL

True, the faces of the figures in the Hammer of Thor set are the wost/creepiest ever (just look at Nico, Karmilla, or Loki chick.

I don't agree with your taste at all. Nightcrawler is such an ugly sculpt. I'm unimpressed by Supergirl, and Wonder Woman lacks any subtly in her sculpt -- it's "fat" and blunt.

Well,as a DC fan my opinion differs from yours (besides I've never seen a Magneto very closely and only own 1 HoT piece common thor)

However you back your choices well.Maybe that's the cause of the hate.Because you're justifying it so well that people who disagree are feeling that they're wrong.

I hated that flash because it showed Barry's Death which I couldn't stand. But the details on it are awesome.Better than many minis.^^

Then again, this is "heroclixrealms" not "horrorclixrealms" or "Haloclixrealms" right?

As for the rest, thank you for your opinion.
I totally agree with you.

Haloclix is NOT Heroclix. Star Crapclix is NOT Heroclix. Iron Maidenclix will NOT be considered Heroclix either.

As for the list, I like it. If it was me, I would have replace Wonder Woman with Nightwing and Starfire, or the SR Hulk from the original Avengers set. Other than that, it looks good to me!
NOT REMOVING THIS UNTIL WE GET A FANTOMEX REMAKE

And how exactly did I manage that? Fantastic Forces is a full set, it was a main set and what you see is what all the Rookie, Expert, and Veteran's looked like.

Go look them up and then tell me how I broke my own rules. ALL OF THEM as you accuse. You stand challenged.
