I've got to give credit where credit is due.


My cat is a saint as cats go. She works hard to tow the line. She stays completely away from my granddaughter, despite several cat-cat forays initiated by my naive but well meaning young'un.

She carefully refuses every temptation to give in to her "Call Of The Wild" instincts because she knows exactly where her bread is buttered. She never ever tries to go outside. She has only ever killed one gerbil, because we accidentally left the gerbil cage open too long a long time ago. ( I highly doubt she's ever been successful in a mouse hunt, but we never discuss that in her presence).

She responds very well to simple demands and hand gestures. All I have to do is point and she'll stop dead in her tracks and back away slowly.

I don't she even knows how to scratch or bite anyone. Gentle would have to be a keyword for this cat.

Have you checked to make sure your cat isn't secretly an alien? Either an observer for another race on another planet or a scout prepping this world for invasion? Or are you sure that your cat isn't actually a very strange-looking dog?

Cut off in the middle of a post, when his cat finally snapped and killed him. A tragic, but all-too common story.
