Wait, what? Those aren't stairs? When I looked at this map for the first time, very briefly, my second thought was, "Neat! A level 3 to level 1 drop!". My third thought was, "That's a wide staircase."
I've been living a lie.
Yeah, thanks to the new terrain markings showing where elevation switches (<2|3>), we know which graphics are intended as steps and which are just details.
Awesome review, and great job being able to work sheer fanboy love into your article! I've never been terribly interested in the Inhumans, but I'm glad that you're happy about getting their home turf.
I'm probably wrong so I'll pose this as a question
How does one sneak up on a colossal on this map?? I thought the new colossal rules said colossals were pretty much able to shoot at all higher elevations:

GREAT SIZE This character can’t be knocked back. When this character makes a close combat attack, it may target characters on higher elevations. This character ignores the effects of hindering terrain, elevated, and outdoor blocking terrain on movement and can move through squares adjacent to and occupied by smaller opposing characters. Smaller characters do not block line of fire to or from this character. This character may draw lines of fire (and have lines of fire drawn to it) as if the character occupied the elevation equal to or greater than the elevation it occupies, using the elevation level with the least restrictive line of fire. Characters with the combat symbol are smaller than those with the combat symbol who are smaller than ones with the symbol. This ability can’t be countered.

Higher elevations can only shoot DOWN if they're on an edge, and only to the next elevation down. So a colossal on the edge of elevation 3 could only see all of elevation 2 and none of elevation 1. And if the colossal isn't on the edge, they can't see down at all (drawing a line from their colossal height elevation 4 would only allow them to see all of 3).

If the colossal is on level 1...you have nowhere to sneak up on him, just a few spots of hindering terrain to get your +1 bonus to defense.
True, but Master Mold won't often move from his Starting Area, and any other figure can use the Elevated terrain in the middle of level 1 as cover. Also, setting up characters (especially with Stealth) in the available 3x6 spaces can keep your opponent from moving to 1. And if I can waste an opponent's Multiattack action on Movement, I'm doing well.
It's no Realm of Death or Prison map, but as I said, if you want to play a friendly game while mitigating the presence of a colossal, here is a fun, balanced map to do that with.
