that is correct. only one infinity gem.
so if you're use one infinity watch character your good to go.
but if you're useing a team it's kind of a waste of points.
as you cannot pick up alot of gems with alot of characters.
When a character using this team ability rolls for a relic with the IG set symbol, it succeeds on a roll of 3-6. Uncopyable.
You are allowed 3 objects: 1 Light, 1 Heavy and 1 that is either Light, Heavy or Immobile (if you play less than 3 you cannot choose Immobile). You can have more than one Special Object as long as you meet those criteria: the Kryptonite are Lights, while the Lanterns are Immobiles, so you could have one of each.
Now, since (as far as I know) all Relics are Immobile and you can only use one of that type you will only put one relic in play. But the ATA will apply to any your opponent plays as well, so there could be two.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”
still a waste of points if you're running an infinity watch team.
you might get the 2 but chances are your opponent is running the gauntlet in which case you only get yours. then you get dead.
Well maybe you fail the 1st or 2nd attempt to pick up your gem, or maybe warlock gets ko'd drops the gem and gamora tries to pick it up, it is most definitely not wasted points.

Most of the Lanterns are light objects. Only the White Lantern is immobile.

Yeah, I'll agree to that.
Infinity Watch ATA + Gem = 12 pts
Gauntlet + Gem = 15 pts
For three extra points, you get full use of what you're paying for, immediately, and you don't have a 1-in-3 chance of those points being completely wasted.

Not really. Not if the gem that's attached isn't showing on the dial.

Ah, teach me to look deeper. Thanks.

You still have the other benefits of the Gauntlet, in such a case, which-- at the least-- equates to an extra Standard Power for your figure. At best, it's +1 to all CV's and an extra Standard Power of your choice.
I'd say that's rather easily worth three points more than a static ability which has a 33% chance of being completely useless in your game.
If the Infinity Watch ATA had been automatic success at picking up the Gem, instead of 66% success, it may have been much more tempting.

You dont get the +1 to all your stats till you hit special power 2. Thats not immediate.

I understand. My point was that the Gauntlet provides guaranteed benefits for 15 points-- benefits which it is impossible for your opponent to commandeer. Even discounting the slots where one cannot use his attached Gem, those benefits, at a minimum, grant an extra Standard Power (which is immediate).
The Infinity Watch ATA and an Infinity Gem, on the other hand, does not provide any guaranteed benefits to one's team, and in a worst case scenario, can provide one's opponent with a fairly powerful boon. All for just 3 points shy of the cost of the Gauntlet.
Plus it depends on your team build. Maybe you have enough points for a gem and the Infinity Watch ATA to round out your build. But not for the gauntlet with 1 gem.

It's not guaranteed! If using only one gem it is pot luck on whether you get to use it when you want to since you have to land on that gem. When you do get to choose a gem, it is every other turn that you can use it. And you have a 66% chance of skipping over Trait #3.
The only thing guaranteed by the gauntlet is a 15 point cost and TK to start with.
