I see them all over the trade forums but no idea where to get them from ? It's kinda frustrating because I would like some deadpool ones haha.

It isn't a secret. It's just that they are kind of the "We don't talk about fight club" thing on the realms. This is because of the fact that you can no longer sell dice in the sale/auction forum and because there have been cease and desist letters from Marvel/DC over copyrighted images. Chessex was the company that many of us were going to, but they won't do it anymore due to the C&D notices. There are still dice being made, but people walk VEEEEEEEERY delicately around the issue and it's a very cloak and dagger type of thing. THIS MESSAGE WILL SELF DESTRUCT IN....

So there is no possible way to get them ? I mean no way at all !? Even if you weren't selling them would it be a big deal ?

I'm not a copyright lawyer. I'm not sure where the line is drawn there. I would check ebay. Check it often. There is occasionally some dice that show up there.

There's actually quite a few cool ones on there right now. Wish I could afford them.

I think that is the main reason I want to make my own they are quite expensive. Lol.

For that you have to shop around. There are dice makers out there. You just have to find them.

Ohh, didn't realize this... glad i got what i got a while ago... Superman and Punisher dice are top of the line!!

So, if I just request 20 custom dice from Chessex with a Marvel/DC copyrighted symbol, they'll deny it? What about other dicemaking companies? Also, I would assume the cease and decist letter the one HCRealms user, or the site, or Chessex, or whoever got doesn't apply to all of us, so we are not subject to that same request, right? We still get our own 1 free mistake that Marvel/DC will warn us for making before legal action is pursued, correct?

Heck yea! Rep for Dragon Dice!

A friend and I used to play Dragon Dice when I was around 14 or 15, but we could never find the dice...so what we did is we would print out all of the armies and cut their pictures out and paste them on to a small square of card board. After we finished all that we would write down the stats on the back of the cardboard as well as any of the special abilities (usually the monsters) we made them bigger since they had much more we had too write.

It was great though we had all the armies in a tackle box in each little cubby hole. We played it constantly. Ahh good memories...

It was Chessex that got the C&D and they informed the group of individuals that were making the majority of the dice that they would no longer do it. I have previously said that I am not a copyright lawyer, but I do know several lawyers and they have advised against attempts at making dice through chessex as the C&D could extend to the people ordering and selling/trading the dice since you will have knowingly gone into the order and the transactions knowing about the C&D.

Really, if you're able to convince yourself that you don't need them, you're better off. You'll come up with a lot of dead ends trying to get your own made; if it was simple to order your own for cheap, then they wouldn't be going for such high costs on e-bay. Secondary value on them is huge right now; you may be looking at high-end SR or chase trades for a popular dice set like Deadpool.

Words cannot describe how great the Spider-Man, Venom, and Manhattan dice are. Also, the Watchmen dice were #SSSSIIIICCCCKKKK.
