So i was tasked with running some quarriors games at my clix venue. Hopefully we get some interest in the coming weeks and people actually show up since I can't stay after clix like I would like to and just drag all our clix players into it. Anyhow I was curious how other people are going to run this just to get some ideas of how I can twist/change up some of the rules to make the game a bit more fun or interesting like venues do with clix. Just like playing a 300 pt game of clix week after week would get old and stale I would imagine a normal game of quarriors would get old pretty fast too. Anyhow if anyone has given this any thought or has any more details about how the quarriors quorlds qualifiers will work that would be great. Thanks for any help I can glean from here.
It includes advanced rules for culling and multiple purchases that add more strategy to the game. You may want to consider implementing some of these rules for your Quarriors events.

I don't think that translates from Heroclix to Quarriors.
Without the promo and P&P cards you're looking at;
20 spell cards and 30 creature cards, for the base game.
If you include the expansion RotD, and you should, 25 spell cards and 44 creature cards.
With only 3 spells and 7 creatures showing up per game. Each game will have a different feel and should produce a different game.
I'm not sure how our Local Venue will be running events but the event that I ran for them when the first expansion hit was a multi-player event up to 15 glory (because some games are far quicker than others we didn't want to have players waiting for time to expire if there game was quick and the other games went to time).
And I haven't heard how the Quorlds play structure will be run as of yet.
It is almost upon us! Are you prepared for the Quarmageddon?
We just had our Quorld Qualifier in Ottawa and it was a lot of fun (and it sounds like the store is going to make it a monthly thing.......a Quarriors tournament, not a Quorld Qualifier ).
We played the suggested Base game only, Advanced Capture Rule and The Totally Expert Rule of Culling.
I want to say we played 40 min rounds (just to make sure there was enough time for everyone to complete their games......which was never an issue), 1 on 1 matches........and 3 rounds followed by a championship round where the 1 and 2 players and the 3 and 4 players faced off for final placement as there were additional prizes to be awarded.
For the first event we had a very good turnout of 15 players (we've got most of the Clixers playing Quarriors at this point and the store also has a boardgame club that seems to like Quarriors quite a bit) with quite a few people who couldn't make it this time but are excited about making it next time......I think we could be looking at 25-ish players if half of the players who said they would play next time. So really good.
Sadly, Nayne was unable to attend but RayonX showed she was more than able to teach the boys how the game should be played with a very strong 2nd place finish.....and more importantly, finishing ahead of fiancee FeuJaune(who finished in 3rd)!

I just took over Quarriors for my venue after a failed start with another guy. Only three people played in the first tournament, but there were seven people there for Quarriors. One was new and didn't want to play in a tournament his first time playing, and the other three were Heroclix players who didn't want to pay for a second buyin tournament that day (Heroclix unusually had a buyin earlier that morning).
Given that the game was only advertised a few days in advance and it was the first time, the turnout looked pretty good. And as far as games getting old goes, there's a ton of variability in Quarriors with all the expansions included, and there are a few major variations of the rules beyond that. We'll probably try the tournament rules at some point, and maybe a variation where players take turns choosing cards for the Wilds. Lot of room to spread out with the Quarriors system.
