The fact that Alan scott GL promotions into Hal Jordan kind of bugs me, since they're two completely different people and while I'm not well-versed in GL backstory I was under the impression that golden age GL had a completely-different, not-even-remotely-related power source to the GL Corps.

I like both of these, but I can't help wondering why Hal is constructing what appears to be a human spine. Maybe it's just a weird angle?

Like the dials
I like the dials, and let me just congratulate the realms people for not being the degenerate little b's that I expected them to be. I saw Allan Scott and was prepared to see a stream of poor taste gay jokes. I was pleasantly surprised, and that's something you cannot say very often on here.

So cool. I didn't immediately have to logoff in disgust.

Yes, while its true that they are completely different in most aspects, what connects them is the idea of a super hero called the Green Lantern who uses a power ring to battle evil. Alan Scott came out in the olden days of comics, and as comics progressed, the Green Lantern was re-envisioned with the Green Lantern we know today. This set is called the DC 10th Anniversary set, showcasing iconic figures from the golden ages of comics and the heroes that they have become in the modern age of comics. In some cases, like Alan and Hal, the Green Lantern became an entirely different person. Look at it as the evolution of the hero, the Green Lantern, instead of the swapping of Alan to Hal.

Hal Jordan is awesome. He can "incapacitate" a character while dealing damage, giving you additional turns to set up an alpha strike against it as you move pieces around and giving them cover. Definitely worth the 145. I'll probably get two of it, one to play with the Alan Scott, the other for my personal force.
