Went to a restaurant in my area that was recently redone by the Food Networks "Restaurant Impossible". They did a good job.

Well that was a 16 hour work day that isn't even done yet.

The less competent one of the contractor's emulsion distributor drivers didn't put his machine away for the night properly, which led to emulsion being sprayed all over the gravel pit - and it was raining + they're using high flow emulsion, so we now have 500m of oil running all the way down a hill into a marsh.

We got a vac truck out and sucked up enough to fill it up, but there's still a lot of work left to be done.

Environment Canada won't even be on the scene for another 2 hours (yep, that's 3 in the morning), so it looks like yet another night of neither sleeping nor working on my thesis!

Long story short:

My computer has decided to not let me sign in to my user account.

Thus, I cannot access any of my "A Little Different" information, and I'm too lazy to do it all through my phone and on paper.

"A Little Different" Will resume tomorrow, hopefully in the morning, probably closer to noon though.

Once again, I apologize to my players for the overly looooooong delay, it shouldn't happen again once it gets going again.

Of course, not sure K's for not getting us Movie Mash-Ups roles, but...

Seriously, people love your game, they love you and they'll still do so even if it takes just a bit longer. Thank you, though, for the updates as it does make it feel like you care about being responsible to the players.

On an unrelated topic, I really think I'm cursed in my efforts to get the LE Giant-Man. NECA's latest contest was "You and your Heroclix amongst the world - send us your photos and win LE Giant-Man" at a time when my world is the Aurora shootings. What am I supposed to do? "Well, here are Doctors Pym and Blake helping me exam the person whom, for various reasons, we call GSK Victim #3. Please note the way the victim was reaching for popcorn at time of..." Yeah. I don't think that'd get me far.
(That is not meant to sound callous to the job I'm doing or the victims or the tragedy. Just it's 3:18 am and I'm being stupid about a trivial piece of plastic that Consumerism and exhaustion is making me far too emotional about, I think. Sorry. I'm sure I'll regret this in the light of the morning sun.)

My apologies for the delay in Mash-Up. I was at the dentist's office for over two hours yesterday, ending up having to skip the gym. Then I had to go to my mom's to look at a laptop for her. Then by the time I got home, it was late, I was tired, and I went to bed shortly after a much needed phone conversation.

*hugs* Hope things pick up for you. Don't worry about the game - their purpose is fun and if you're not in a fun spot then it's a stress you don't need. Any razzing is meant good naturedly and a compliment to how beloved you are as a game mod and community member.

I take no stress from it. I just don't like letting my friends down. It will happen today. And I do have some good news.

My tooth has to be surgically removed, but other than that, the dentist said I have great teeth (not bad for not being to a dentist in 18 years). There's a little bit of work that needs to be done (a couple of fillings), and I will have to get an implant over time, but my mouth looks great otherwise.

The TV repairman finally called me yesterday evening. After I sent the nasty "I'ma gonna sue ya!" letter to him, he said "Well, I want to get your 200 dollars back to you. Let's meet tomorrow." So I get to meet him today to get my money refunded. We'll see if he shows.

Bring a baseball bat.

By the way, my case of CW arrived today. I may be able to join in on charles' giveaway.

Have I mentioned that the wife and I happened to stumble across The Cabin In The Woods while downloading the second season of Game of Thrones? We plan to watch it as soon as we have gone through the entire season...
