I don't know what those top powers/colors refer to but I wondered if I'd keep playing when traits were introduced because it was information not on the dial which was fixed by the star.

I still don't know what to think of this new stuff they're adding.

I hope the Wildcats don't have it because I want them and I could change my mind when I know what this new stuff means but the more information they remove from the dial itself, the more likely I am to be done other than maybe collecting sculpts I want & not using them as playing pieces.

I don't know but I just got less excited for a set that debuts a new group I've been looking forward to. I sincerely hope my fears are quenched but if not I have plenty to keep playing with for years without buying new stuff & my wallet will like the break so it could even be a good thing.

These are two completely different figures. The prerequisite is from Secret Invasion. The Skrull figures, Ms. Marvel, Captain Mar-Vell, Dum Dum Dugan, Elektra, and Yellowjacket, all had different dials while occupying the same slot with the same set number, differentiated only by an A and B and the Skrull dial having a Skrull symbol preceding the first click.
BUT why do that? why not just make them two seperate numbers unless its a way to weasel in more SRs.

Basically Batman has Leap/Climb, with the only major benefit being that he can use it with Charge (Edit: in combination with L/C) Gotta say, these enhanced abilities seem a bit unnecessary.

Honestly, I dunno. With the Skrulls the dialtop was the same. If they'd've done that here, I could better understand it. As is, I'm assuming it's akin to the Nightcrawler/Mistress Death varients, where they are randomly distributed throughout the single slot. Essentially doubling the rarity of those two figures.
We can almost guarantee that between the Bat token mechanics and the Green Prime ring (and the fact that they are cool and good but not broken) that they'll be popular in spite of their slightly increased rarity.

I think it's just an attempted gimmick like any other. They'll do it, wait a couple of sets for feedback, and determine whether to repeat it. Personally, I think that this works much better at the lower rarity levels (Skrulls, Nightcrawler) than higher (Death), if only because both figures will be wanted by more people that felt it neccesary to chase both Death sculpts, for example. But time will tell.

He also loses the standard L/C ability to ignore outdoor blocking terrain, and the ability to punch up an elevation. So it's not entirely unreasonable. There's give and take.

Okay. I see the gold stamp on the cards, but call me color blind (cause I am) but it looks like the dials are bronze. Are these Chases, or SRs? The numbers match for some Chases of recent sets...

I thought the same, but chalked it up to color-blindness as well... Truth is, we don't know. And probably won't have anything more than guesses until November.

I was ok with the scuplt differences in crawler and death, but here the dials are VERY different. There is no need to do that except to increase rarity. However if they do this instead of chases I guess I can be happy about that (but im not gonna hold my breath)

You guys did also notice the green ring around The Caped Crusaders dial. Its the first Prime figure that I know of. Which might mean those kind of figures will be a variant of a standard figure in that set. Which would make sense as a secondary cataloging type of system hence the designation of a b after the number.

Hrmm. I saw the Prime ring, but hadn't considered that as an aspect of it. This has possibilities....

Agreed, thus making the prime version abit more exclusive in nature. and pulling a prime in this manner would be like pulling a chase.
