Take it from me. George Massu is still a way better player than this guy. I'm just happy Scott Crampton or however you spell his name didn't make it to the final day. The time for has been's are over!

Insulting Cramcompany is not right.
This is how to correctly write the sentence you attempted to write.
I doubt many judges are going to just flat out say "Hey your dice are loaded". That's a pretty large accusation to make especially at this level of competition. And they're not going to say anything at all if the opponent doesn't question it.
Just for the record, in my Swiss game in the top 16 at GenCon this year I requested to use my opponent's dice after he rolled like 4 sixes out of 5 rolls. I proceeded to roll 3 sixes out of 4 rolls. He was using Mech Warrior dice, which I was under the impression are considered, how shall I say it, "unbalanced". Then the head judge brought over 4 dice for us to use for the rest of the game.
I often use my opponent's dice, just to avoid any issues in the first place.

George is a very good player.
Alex is a very good player.
Scott is a very good player.
I would say that is ALL you can say about those 3. They've all won at the highest level. It really does not make any sense to compare them.
I aspire, as many do here, to be as good as any of those guys. That is why I "nitpick", although I haven't specifically done it on this thread, I've done it in my head, and on some notes I took. There were mistakes made by almost every player in every game - positioning, actioning, etc. It's high-pressure for me, and as far as I can tell, everyone else.
I also would not tend to call it "Monday Morning quarter backing" as none of us can play pro football. Many of us are "as-pro-as-you-can-get" Heroclix players. All us want to get better (and luckier!).
Many of us, being human, are fascinated by another's mistake or misplay. That is why we dwell on it, or point it out. Yes, partly we want to "humanize the champ". You have to admit that those misplays (or potential ones) are fascinating in how they change the game.
2 years ago, George did not allow his opponent to take back a tokenable action (the first one of the game) and it was widely viewed as the game-changer. In this finals, by allowing his opponent to declare the gauntlet power after a tokenable action, he essentially did allow that. I believe that is incredibly significant - as obviously do many others. George was winning the game on points at that point. Switch was on her last click. Morgan was full-up, but who is to say that Adam wouldn't have been able to run away and regen or get to #2 on the Gauntlet and win? Totally possible.
Someone might have said this already, but I find it very strange that George seems to know the entire Infinity Gauntlet dial by memory and yet has no knowledge that the 'Tiny Size' figures can travel with regular sized characters who can also carry other figures(Morgan carrying both Wasp and Scarlet around). You'd think at that level of play, especially a world champ would have done his home work. But, nonetheless I love how he used the figure he designe to almost win again! That was awesome =D.

It's because there is a lot of confusion about carrying Tiny characters right now. The Tiny size rule as written doesn't allow Tiny characters with or to be carried just like normal carry. They have ruled otherwise because the intent was that they can be carried regardless of combat symbols. The problem is it was ruled in a random post in a thread that was just about rules questions for the new Tiny, Split, and Merge mechanics. A lot of people didn't know about it/see the ruling.
I completely agree with rowdyoctopus and uniquist.
There are rules for a reason and i find it a bit disheartening that they apparently mean so little to many players. Especially at the highest levels of play.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching the match. Thank you Typhon and thank you gentlemen for a great round.
Of course, thankfully, no one records my matches...I'd nitpick myself to death. Maybe it'd make me a stronger player but I'd just obsess over what I could've done better or whatnot.
Two great teams played by two great players, congrats to the new new World Champ.
That said, I don't think this should be considered a great Worlds final match. Too many mistakes and misplays on both sides. The object thing, incapping a Battle Fury fig, moving too far while within Leland's range, forgetting to roll for Monster Society of Evil and choosing a power mid turn weren't such stellar plays. But the non-declare of Combat Reflexes and then using them was a huge swing in the game. Massu rolled high enough to hit Le Fay's D without the CR and would have dealt 6 (after Toughness). That takes her to her second last click with no Phasing and a naked D. Big difference even with the Gauntlet.
Anyone notice that when Black Adam attacks Morgan Le Fey @ 11:09 that the World Champ lied (or misstated)? She DID NOT have combat reflexes during that turn as he did not declare it when the turn began (7:43). Shame too cause the other guy rolled the 7 that would have hit.
I always wondered why WIZKIDS didnt make a bigger deal out of their World Championship...
I still think WIZKIDS should have professional coverage of Worlds for posting on their website, perhaps with past World Champions as commentators.
Thanks! I'd like to do it bigger; but that requires a lot of investment (that I don't have). Thankfully member donations allows me to get the gear to bring these videos to the rest of the community. And now that we've gotten the first event out of the way; I can work on fine-tuning the process and hopefully send out these "coverage kits" to other conventions. I personally don't have the time (or money) to travel to every event, but maybe WizKids wants to pay my way? *hint *hint. LOL!

See the 9th post in this thread.
Although the more I thought about it, the more I think about it, it's not an optional thing:
Quote
Morgan Le Fay can use Toughness. At the beginning of your turn, choose either Combat Reflexes or Energy Shield/Deflection. Morgan Le Fay can use the chosen power until your next turn.
It doesn't say "you may choose". It says DO THIS. Just like the IG says you have to choose one of the 3 options at the end of the turn after taking a non-free action. Choosing nothing is not a valid option for her power. She has to have either CR or ESD. Just like choosing nothing is not a valid option for the IG (provided you don't have a special power showing). You have to either take a click or roll (unless you're on 1,2 or 3). There was a whole argument about the IG and forgetting to roll for it that got pretty heated. Either way I think it's pretty clear he was going to choose CR every turn. And at the end of the day it's on the player to question it to the judges which didn't happen.
The Crowd for this game got absolutely HUGE by the last 5 minutes of the match! I was lucky enough to get a spot to stand right behind Alex a little bit after they got started (My sneakers can be seen in the background during the latter half of the match~).
Both players did great jobs this year, as did everyone in the top 16; nerves were tense the whole way through, but it was fun for most of the players, if not all of them.
