the sculpts are nice! maybe i'll use the vet when i don't feel like using the rare from the avm set(best thor ever). i even took the chaos war sculpt and put it on that dial.

i really thought one of them would wow me, but neither do. i like the sp on the vet but it's not enough. it's not 'cool' enough. how about a grenade type power. thor calls the lightning down on the square and everyone gets hit for two and the square gets 3! or how about a trait that gives him automatic knockback for ranged attacks. oh well. i'm happy with my rare.

I still stand by the 175 pointed Thor from the Chaos War CTD is the best most Thory Thor we've gotten!

I've opened about 15-20 of the CTD CW and have yet to pull a Thor just alot of space phantoms and visions as well as double of almost everything else

200/100pt Thor is kind of meh, but that 120pt Thor is amazing. Sort of an Ultimates Thor lite.

I was going threw the dials when I saw what they listed as the base for the pre-promoted Thor and saw that it was a based on Ultimates Thor.

7 clicks for the new one compared to 10 clicks from Ultimates.
Starting Defense is only 1 higher which is nothing to sneeze at but I think I'll stick with the older one.
Attack values are just slightly lower.
The damage values drop and only go back up to the same at the end.
The range is also reduced by 2 making him less of a threat.
I do have to say that if your on a budget the drop from 187 to 120 is nice while still having the same TA but only in a different symbol.
The only change in the keywords is the lose of Ultimates.

He's based on the Ultimates Thor. Not the normal universe Thor.

The new one should also be easier on the financial budget.

I think I'd go with the 67 point cheaper one since outwit is so deadly against high pointed guys. 67 points will get you another character which can be TK, outwit and/or PC help.

Now the 7 clix of life vs. 10 is a big difference esp. if the 10 actually have good stats. Most older clix with 10 clix of life have stats drops that almost equate to only being 7 clix unless you have a medic.

Not dising your opinion, just giving my own with your stats in mind.

I almost agree with your reasoning except Ultimates Thor has 10 range, enough to to hit your outwitter back if he dares out wit you, I actually koed a gsx beast who outwitted me in our supremacy league.

The only way you get out of his huge ten range is using the shield ATA I think.

Willpower as a trait is superb! I hope the 10th Anniversary Superman gets the same treatment.

Figs like this make me wish keywords didnt exist. I would play them much more. Alas keywords do exist and they add an interesting element to the game. I know, broken record...named theme team bonuses are just too good to pass up. I really like the throwback 120 Thor dial but its hard to make deity work for theme given they all cost so much and i doubt i will ever make a celebrity theme team.....sacrifices must be made its such a good dial.
