I thought about this for 300 Modern, what do you think?
100 JL52006 Cyborg
59 JL52019 John Constantine
50 FFSM003R Steel
80 AN013 Green Arrow
2 ATA067 Justice League Dark
2 ATA067 Justice League Dark
2 ATA067 Justice League Dark
2 ATA067 Justice League Dark
297
Green Arrow should be a monster sniper with the ATA in effect, and JC can use Superman Ally to outwit/perplex even stealthed enemies. Cyborg just cause I pulled him, could swap in a variety of other characters for him and Steel.
One problem with your modern age team. The Black lantern is no longer modern age legal as it was from Brave and the Bold.
Fixed! I'm just so used to using the Black Lantern that I forgot it got retired. Silly mistake, really . . .

That's actually pretty good. I was tempted to use that Green Arrow, but chose GL because I'm more of a fan of Hal than Ollie. Batman rip-offs (he had an Arrowmobile, for God's sake) don't do it for me, unless they do something cool like Catman did with the Secret Six.

I have a good reason for not doing that. That reason is:

I'M NOT THE THEME TEAM GUY!
That should pretty much sum it up. Besides, they really don't work well together (Constantine nixing abilities on a good chunk of the others' dials, for one), and I really wanted to use that Superman. If you are really desperate for a JLD theme team in an article, maybe you should ask one of the guys who write those kind of articles. Just sayin'
A good article but maybe you might want to consider a format change for your article.
Perhaps it might be more interesting if you do two builds with each ATA: a thematic build, followed by a competitive build.
If you just cut one of the competitive builds and go with one and then toss out a stock more-comicy-themey team, then you can address some of the latter's weaknesses.

And using the Infinity Gauntlet would not be terribly unthematic.
How exactly did you come by this thought?? How is using a Marvel cosmic object not terribly unthematic to a DC mystic team? I am completely missing the logic here..

"... The GD Batman."
We had a team-up tournament and I played a DC team, using this ATA:
FF Wonder Woman
FF Green Lantern
52 John Constantine
52 Mindwarp
AN Green Arrow
+10 for ATA
+ 5 for Red Kryptonite
Between the ATA, John Constantine and the Red K, I really frustrated my opponents even before my first turn. We didn't win our first game because our opponents ganged up against me and my teammate couldn't cross the map to come to my rescue. But it was still fun!! (Except Mindwarp was seriously worthless)

If you are reading the JLA Dark...just think the BLACK ROOM. The Infinity Gauntlet thematically fits right in.
I wouldnt just slap the gauntlet on any team, but in this case it pretty much follows the storyline.
For me its fits better then the lanterns which would seem more out of place to me.
I also wouldnt have a problem playing with any of the Marvel Vampires as well. But it helps to be reading the title.
They would be a lot more thematic then adding DC Mobsters or the Green Arrow.
