Just thought of this. Maybe he should have had a power where he can use blades and if he is successful, he then has a 4 range until he makes a ranged attack. It could be him picking up a severed arm.

Also, now that I know about the packs, I am totally getting the X-Men pack. I think I have had enough Avengers for a while.

finally an actual answer
dunno if anyone else mentioned this, but i found out apparently there will eventually be 12 figures, and to all those who were saying this is more babyish and also the figures seem more kid like

Marvel.com: Who is TabApp aimed at?

Sara Jenkins: TabApp is aimed at younger players who may not be old enough for Heroclix but would like to play the game or play with the characters. It’s a great introduction to the game.

I found his game highly addictive and really fun - and totally didn't think I would! One cool thing is, even though my wife would NEVER play Heroclix, she's LOVES Angry Birds and has already said she wants to try this!
It's simple enough for young players (and wives and other non-comic geek types!!!) but it does have different difficulty levels and can be challenging for more experienced players.
I had a blast doing demos!!!

I think Wolverine has a range of 4 because it is needed for the video game.

Is this game a free App?

Man you guys complain a lot. I know you may not like the sculpts but there are plenty who will. My venue has lots of players who will appreciate funny lookin' cartoon versions of the characters. Can we just appreciate that there are different sculpts for different tastes? It doesn't have to be super-dark-adult-edgy-xxxtreme to be cool, ya know?

Or if you're really complaining about dropping cash for the dial and then having to mod it, then I guess just try skipping the product. You already got 10 other thors this year, after all.

Wow. Those X-men dials are near perfect. Especially impressed with Wolverine (Other than him having 4 range).

I don't have (Or want) an iPad though.

So each set comes with a single redeem code, which can be used for the following:

Input figures from the set into the TabApp application
Get HeroClix online for free, doesn't include a starter pack, but...
Get the TabApp figure pack in HCO

Yeah it's free. It has a demo mode where you can try the game using a generic character. It's different from heroclix. I think saying it's a way for kids to get into regular heroclix could be a bit of a stretch.

Picked up the Avengers at Toys R' Us, ordered the X-Men on Amazon. You guys know why they made the dials so good, don'tcha? Regular players will buy them because they rock, and WK can go into meetings saying, "Hey, our product is selling like hotcakes, we rule the tabapp market!" One man's synergy is another man's chicanery.

As I don't own an iPad, I've already pried off the useless part of the base. Haven't done anything about the cartoony sculpts yet...
