Well I'm glad its just old stock and not a new print run. I don't care that GSX would be more available and possibly cheaper (I have a full set minus Juggernaut and Duos, but the most I spent on a single piece was Phoenix at $30)
The idea of making new print runs of a set far after its release is not a line I want to see crossed. If any set could just randomly come back it'd make players hesitant to buy/trade incase a pieces value suddenly drops/jumps and I'd rather not be waiting on the release of a set that was just released X months ago
I got some sealed GSX that came from Diamond West recently that came with a con Ms Marveland Wonder Woman. These weren't reprints just old stuff. I'm not sure about a new printing, but they're around. Check with your stores rep first.
A store has to spend over $600 on buying Hulk in order to be eligible to purchase 1 brick of GSX. I don't think there are many places that will be interested in getting 5 cases of product they can't sell in order to get 1 brick they can sell.

I don't know about that. What I've seen is a brick of GSX ans one set of 3 con pieces per case of hulk. It's all about the sales rep on the distribution end.
Diamond and Alliance are trying to clear out their warehouses of old Incredible Hulk stock leftover from it's release earlier this year. If venues order so much of the leftover IH product, they are allowed to purchase a brick (or case, I can't remember what one it is) of some left over GSX stock, not a re-issue of it.
When I went to the Alliance Games open house in Ft Wayne last September, we took a tour of the warehouse out there. We noticed that they had tons of cases of GSX stacked in a corner of the warehouse that was roped off from the Open House attendees. I asked a Alliance employee what they were doing with all the cases of GSX and I was told that they didn't know what they were going to do with them and all he did know was that they were under orders to not list them in stock for sale. I'm guessing that they were left to use in promotions like this to push back stock like IH out of warehouse.
There was venues that did not get any product, here they are withholding product. Not even releasing it normally. So they help make the shortage. There is no words to describe the level of disgust that I feel toward Alliance/Diamond.

A good summary of feelings I have, but that's what happens with a monopoly. Now they're making you buy a lemon product to even get access to a sliver of the stock of GSX.
Favorite DC read: Demon Knights
Only Marvel read: Avengers Arena POWER GIRL OR BUST!!! <-- This summarizes my thoughts on the release schedule.

Personally I wouldn't want a re-release of GSX at all. And I never have. But that doesn't even sound like what this is. How much could they possibly have? 100 cases? VS the thousands in the original release?
GSX was so good, but it was missing ALOT of high level x-men and X-related characters. It doesn't need re-released, it needs a sister set that fills in the gaps.
