the only caveat that puts a yield sign (not bad enough for a stop sign) is the 99b flock of bats is not prime. but i'm not so much worried about that outlier. "flock of bats prime"
Gotcha. Wasn't sure what you meant. I've been confused a lot recently.

Yeah, I'd imagine a Prime variant in Hush's case, in line with my theory. But I suppose only time (or Munchoboy! ) will tell... I don't know Hush to say what a Prime version of him would bring, or wether he even warrants a Prime-worthy gimmick, but signs suggest a Prime Hush to me.

And as far as the Bats go, the 99 is enough of a headscratcher that i'm pretty comfortable discounting them for this mechanic. I still kinda expect Bats in boosters a la Kryptonite in the Superman set. Although I'd expect it is SR Batman boxes, or even all boxes. Or a one-per-brick like the Supes Robot. There's just too many questions there that the A/B/C is the least of them.

I love the Black Queen's trait! I hope they bring some Bats for the previews soon. I want to see dials for Batwoman or Red Robin.

Can you confirm or deny if the "b = prime" theory is correct, as far as this setlist goes?
Do you know if anything was implemented to prevent a "halved-rarity" with A and B dials? For example, as far as a booster packing hopper goes, were both Sasha A and Sasha B given full UC allocation, or do they share the slot in all ways?
My apologies if any unclarity!
Certainly.

A Prime figure found in DC HeroClix: Batman will be denoted by the green ring and the "b" demarkation. (BTW I specify DC HeroClix: Batman b/c that's the set we're talking about, nothing more.)

As for frequency/overall rarity, I'ma need to check as I cannot recall exactly and don't want to pass along inaccurate info.

Oh man, I know I'm out of touch with comics when I have no idea who this is.

She seems really playable, though- both versions.

Whenever there's a DC figure preview I'm always hoping for Lightray.

I don't think they will be harder to find by intent, but a/b suggests the following to me:

When building a set, Wizkids identifies what characters they want to put in and allocate the 40-60 slots with characters. Prime characters with an a/b marking then allows them to essentially put 2 figures in one of those slots. This promotes a number of things:
- 1 more distinct dials in a set
- sculpt reuse that is justified via the fact that you aren't getting less in a set, but instead getting more
- team friendly figures of a character as well as figures more stand-alone in their abilities
- low point figures and high point figures of one character occupying only 1 'slot' of the set

That's my guess.

I think what people want to know is how this factors into distribution, and is there a particular reason for not just assigning different numbers rather than going with a/b?

Why is Sasha Bourdeaux and Black Queen sharing a number with an a or b added to differentiate the two, while CW014 Hank Pym and CW015 Ant-Man have two different numbers?

Why isn't Sasha just #023 and Black Queen #024?

We know #020 and #030 are uncommon. Assuming for a moment that these are the first and last uncommon in the set (they probably aren't, but just follow for the sake of this example), is the set distribution treated as if it has 10 uncommons, with #023's production number evenly divided between a and b, making either a or b version twice as rare as any other uncomon? Or is the set treated as if it has 11 uncommons with as many 023a's as there are any other uncommon in the set? Or is there even some sort of lop-sided run, with b versions being rarer than a versions?

Oh, please please please let there be a Prime Booster Gold in this set, where the "A" figure is Nu52 Booster and the "B" Prime) figure is pre-Nu52 Time Cop Booster!
