I bought these at my FLGS. For 18 bucks each! Ok. They held them for for me, and it is good to support the local store. Fine. Then, after telling the clerk, who also happens to be the judge, that I was going to replace the sculpts because they are huge, I get hit with "No mods." Period. Now, this has never come up before, but, really? I have talked with the players about how they felt about mods to feel it out, they are pretty much apathetic. Judge however seems to have a hardline "no" stance. Because it is confusing.

Huh. And it is super easy to look across the map and know exactly which Thor, Cap, Supes, Hulk, Iron Man, etc. the opponent is using? Without looking AT THE DIAL? Whatever.

Add in the fact that I am paying almost twice what TRU wanted and over retail anywhere else, plus the cost of figures to mod with, plus time and effort, plus having to deal with not being able to use them where they will most likely be used if I mod them like I want to = too much.

Returned them and bought them online MUCH cheaper from a place that does not care how I feel like playing this game. I still can't use them at the local venue, but it was significantly cheaper and I don't have the aggravation of not being able to play them where I bought them.

Is it bad that I am more stoked about these dials than any of the Batman/Streets of Gotham/some other million batman sets coming out. AND I'm a HUGE Batman fan. (up until the chases I owned every Bruce Wayne Batman) If the prior sets are any indication these dials will be monsterous (looking at you Superman).

On a slightly less juvenile tangent, I just bought the x-men, avengers, and trinity set at my local walmart. A friend told me they had the batman set too, but they sold out of it by the time I got there.

Anyone know when the trinity pack comes out?
