BTW: objects can be used by any player no matter who brings it into play. They are like BFC, they work for (or against) everybody. If I bring in a Laser Turret, Mjolnir, or Gem of Cyttorak and my opponent gets on the square that the occupy, then they can use/roll or them.
Since when could your opponent use your Laser Turret? The original object said "friendly to you", as did the wording in the July Player's Guide. Was there a point in time where those three words weren't a part of the rules for this object that I don't know about? My judge always said it was only you and your teammates, so that was how we played it. I'd hate to think I was wrong again, despite actually researching it moreso than other articles.
What Cranberry said. Whether or not the opponent could use it was never questioned by players at my venue (all of whom had more experience than me), and we played it as Cranberry said. This article is first time I've ever encountered the notion it played differently.

I used that turret so often it was called "The Crutch" Which eventually paid off when I would put it in weird places, so they would rush out to destroy it and leave themselves exposed.
Never Underestimate a Skrull Swarm with a wild dice throw!
