Woah woah slow it down I came back after a 6 year break and just getting used to the cards traits, movement traits, different attack types, sizes and stuff that wasn't around last I played, now there's vehicles next month and soon after play sets?
Head hurting.
Did you seriously just diss others for *ahem* '1st world problems' when in *the same sentence* you said how you donated money to a website for plastic superheroes??
Pot, meet kettle.
No, I said I have a regret simply. I didn't say "OMG MY LIFE IS RUINED". My point is all people do here is complain and make snide comments. Like you.
As I said somewhere else, the team dial concept will hopefully at least guarantee full rosters for smaller teams, like Gen 13 there. Obviously a team like the Teen Titans wouldn't be able to squeeze on such a small base.
not true... Gen 13 is missing their leader John Linch
You don't have to use them, they will still keep making normal clix. If it's too advanced then those players don't have to use them. I understand that your going to want to try them out but nothing is forced on you. I mean I have yet to even read the rules for vehicles, not because I think it's too difficult its just I don't care for them. All Colossal figures and now vehicles are just for show in my book. I hear the vehicles are really good and from the little research I've done on them they are good. With them they also are much cheaper so I will end up using them more than Colossal, now with these team bases, if they are cheap I will consider them. If they are expensive (points) then it will sit on the shelf and look cool.
you know its real easy to say you just don't have to use them so you shouldn't worry about them BUT what do you say when someone else comes up and uses them against you??? so yea they kinda are forcing them onto us.
though im kinda like you i haven't read anything about the cars and planes yet kuz i really don't care and i hardly play nowadays anyways
i agree with those that say too many new mechanics too fast. i like new stuff but i have a buddy who says theres already too much to learn when just starting to now have vehicles and then switches. idk. its a good idea but whats next?
I'm reading that the team dial will have combinations of powers based on who's on the base. As evidenced by vehicles, the character cards were already 3 cards wide. How long do you think a team base will be, what with it's list of powers and then the cataloging of about 20+ power combinations of characters on the base? Team bases, to me, represent redundancy. You shouldn't need lists of team specific powers and combinations of powers for certain characters on a base to use when you have singles of them already, with simple dials that already present that data to us. If Wizkids is wanting more emphasis on teams the building of such, why not release team feats or something like that? You know, like this one I just made up:
Perez Era Titans
Team Requisites: Robin, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Starfire, Raven
When 3 or more of the listed characters make up your force, each character modifies its defense by +1 if it's adjacent to a friendly character if not already modified by this effect.
I mean seriously, I just basically created a new ATA that requires character names instead of keywords. It emphasized specific teams and doesn't bog down the game with new mechanics and interchangable parts. If team bases can somehow NOT be redundant, paint me red and pitch me in the ocean.
I must have missed something. If anyone could point me to the complete rules for the new Team Bases I'd appreciate it. With so many people certain these will end Heroclix, I'd want to see where they read up on the rules.
They have not. No one has. That's why every post about how Team Bases are the worst thing to happen to Heroclix since the last worst thing to happen to Heroclix are based on pure knee-jerk reactions.

There's this obscure little game I'm kind of a fan of that does this thing where it introduces new mechanics in literally every expansion. Not a single set goes by without something new being added to the table. Weird thing is, the crazy people who play this game, they don't seem to care! In fact, they come to expect these new mechanics and get excited when they see them! It's unbelievable. Clearly, that strange "Magic: The Gathering" game will become overstuffed and soon die off...
