piloting or not piloting...
When I play a Vehicle on piloted mode and the Vehicle losses its pilot, can i switch to autopilot mode? Can i give it non-free action dealing it damage as it was on autopilot mode? The vehicle does NOTHING AT ALL? Just waits there to be koed?

You choose to play the figure as piloted or autopilot when you construct your force. You cannot alter that during the event. The figure piloting the vehicle can change from game to game or during a game.
You can certainly give the vehicle non-free actions with no pilot, but as you are aware there is a damage penalty for doing so. You could opt to just let it sit there until your opponent knocks it out, but I don't know why you would.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

What he said.

I'm not sure why you would not just give another figure on your force the free action to become the new pilot. If there are no other figures, then why not go out swinging and just give the vehicles actions even though it will take a click of dmg for each action given?

Also, autopilot vehicles only take damage if it was given an action that involved an attack. They can be given regular move actions or power actions to use powers like Barrier or Smoke Cloud just fine without taking any damage for them (unless you are pushing of course).

I'm afraid that last is not correct:
"When a vehicle in Piloted mode does not have a pilot and is given a non-free action, after actions resolve, deal it 1 unavoidable damage."
So any non-free action results in the damage, unless the specific vehicle has some exception rule.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Hero Guy was speaking about Autopilot Vehicles, which is accurate.

Are you talking about the last part of the first paragraph or second?

Right. If the correction was meant as last part of my post, then it was indeed about autopilot. I mentioned that because the Op had said "Can i give it non-free action dealing it damage as it was on autopilot mode?" which I interpreted as an incorrect reading of the autopilot rules.

If you mean that the bolded section was incorrect, then I was speaking of what happens when the vehicle "goes out swingin" which I was implying making attacks which would generally not involve free actions being given. Sorry if that was the source of the confusion.

Misread your post, and responded to what I thought I read: sorry.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
