So... how did we end up with two copies of the Villains for New Mutants build? I don't even get what makes that such a spectacular, Worlds-worthy team-up...
Trust me, it's way tougher than it looks. As Spawn10 mentioned, the first thing about this team is that people will pop off Deathstroke or Osiris and heal them with a cheap supporter or x-men Ta. This is currently legal--crazy and messed up but legal. Then, the New Mutants Ata allows the strong figures to transfer damage to cheap figures.
At least in modern you use the belt to cancel the Ata for a turn, but in golden it's really tough to deal with.

DrStrangeDDS and I were the ones who posted and took notes on all of the Top 16 matches for both Modern Age and Golden Age since there was nobody there to do it, so we just took it upon ourselves to have even the minimal coverage an event like this deserves. It's just sad that WK doesn't have someone doing up-to-the minute coverage on Worlds. At least the Judges were nice enough to let me roam the tables to check the names and team builds (after they had closed off the tables to only having competitors playing in Worlds walk in the area). Anyone who follows the ROC/$1K West Coast knows that we really like to do coverage

There's a plethora of small problems that should be fixed, but they're all rather diversified, really. H4H is an abomination that should be burned up and thrown away, but the Police ATA is fine and good on its own. And Cop Cars on their own are undercosted, sure, but are they that broken? Eh... maybe not, until they're combined with free movement stuff, as evidenced by the winner. The "Fix" for Cop Cars as I see it has got to be some way of re-alligning the cost of Clear The Streets, by either making the effect only ever work once per turn, or putting in wording prohibiting it from triggering on a free move action, OR adding something like "Place a token on this character after actions resolve" so that no matter what, the cars are still getting tokened.
Basically, ANYTHING allowing you to do stuff free of a token is what is choking the life out of the game.
