Wow, cant believe that Superman might actually be taken out of this Tournament in the first round, but as close as the votes are, its certainly possible. Keep those votes going, as with the rest of these battles, you still might be able to change the outcome.

Now, onto our next battle, this time two from the Marvel Universe. One the Lord of Latveria, the other a super powered Sentinel from the future. I give you, Dr. Doom vs. Nimrod.

In one corner stands Dr. Doom. When Victor Von Doom was scarred in a tragic scientific accident in college, he blamed Reed Richards for this tragedy and declared him a life long enemy. Since then, Doom drove himself away, eventually using his near matchless intellect and will to overthrow the former ruler of Latveria and declare himself Lord of that land. Dooms armor is one of the most sophisticated in any universe, filled with a near endless supply of weapons and devices to use for any occassion, as well as being a highly accomplished sorcerrer as well. Its easy to see how Dr. Doom has become one of comics greatest villians of all time.

And in the other corner, we have Nimrod. After having traveling thru time from the future in order to hunt down and destroy superpowered mutants, especially Rachel Summers. He started out as a sort of vigilante, defending and protecting normal humans as he saw fit, but when he was in the presence of mutants, his incredibly formidable arsenal of futuristic weaponry and gadgets were fully unleashed. Nimrod is the most highly advanced Sentinel of its time, and has proven more than once he can hold his own with just about anyone from the present time as well.

As always, same rules apply, no time to prepare, POOFed from where ever they were, with only what they routinely carry on them, to fight in a Vast arena til one stands and one falls. YOU decide Who.

OK, for real, I vote for Nimrod. Why? Doom has too many fans too really lose. (thank you, Mark Waid) But Nimrod is no pushover. He is THE Sentinal. His technology (read: weapons) is far more advance than Doom's, and more than likely Doom inadvertly contributed to Nimrod's built. So, in a way, Nimrod has Doom's arsenal. If this were 'magic' Doom, it would by different.

Dr. Doom. Nimrod's head would be on Doom's wall faster than you can say "Doom wins!".

Doom. He's wiley, and he's driven.

I can't wait for DC's Captain Marvel to go against Doom.

The good doctor takes this one. If Nimrod were that great, he'd have beaten all the X-Men and would have his own comic.

Doom takes this one easy, he has the tech and he has the magic. Doom always has the magic, he learned it from the Sorcerer Supreme himself Dr. Strange years back. Its all programed into his armour. Anything Nimrod counters of Dooms tech then Doom will just be able to counter with his magic if he needs to. DOOM all the way!!!

By that rationale, I guess Doom isn't that great.... The FF beat him all the time.

I really thing it's Doom's own arrogance that beats him most of the time. The FF only take advantage of it.

Yeah I would have to agree with that Splitsecond.

In Nimrod's defense, his predecessor has a soon-to-be ending comic.

Plus, his name means 'the Hunter', and he's a rapidly-self repairing very advanced robot IIrc, so he's not that bad off. The longer the battle goes on, the better his chances are.

Either way: Your logic is flawed.

Just like Doom's logic...when it comes to Reed Richards.
