I would rather use Outwit or Perplex to help out a better character. Heck, a better HyperSonic Speedster even. Jay is just vanilla and only good if you love JSA

Don't get me wrong, I love this guy and will make sure to get him. But in reality, the dial is only halfway between "mediocre" and "good."
But if the argument is that giving him a supporting cast of outfitters an Perplexers makes him better, I challenge you to do a figure where that isn't the case... And not because Outwit or Perplex is "broken" (I don't believe that), but because they are so universal. Saying that a figure is better with Outwit and Perplex is almost a non-statement in it's obviousness and simplicity. And it says absolutely nothing about the figure in question.
I agree, having to rely on Outwit and/or Perplex to make a figure good is a rather tired old chestnut.

However, with THE GAUNTLET he gets much better!!!

I love JSA!
So I'm happy!
He's nothing special, I admit, but he's under 100 points and has the JSA TA so I'll be using him.
I want more Hellboy clix and ATOMIC ROBO!!!!

You are the type of person he is made for then and that is not a bad thing. I am starting to warm to JSA more and might try to snag him but his is just barely good. One lower Attack or defense point and I would say he is bad.

More JSA and more versions of Wally West are always welcomed! The only thing I'd like to see in a Wally West Flash now is a trait or sp where he can take away someone else's charge/running shot/HSS and add it to himself or someone else until next turn or a trait that if he vibrates through an object or person, he does penetrating damage equal to his printed damage +1. Early on after he became The Flash, anything he vibrated through exploded. He could also lend or take away speed from anything.
Really love his sculpt. Not running, but doing another classic speed effect.

Both of these figures are insane. That Wally is borderline broken, and 16 speed on Jay is nothing to scoff at.

He can share his Defense with fellow JSA members or Wildcards, a little Perplex goes miles on his dial, and that speed value with 6 clicks of HSS...
Some people don't know a good thing when they see it. Or maybe people just have IhonestlybelievethatNightcrawlerwasaccuratelycosteditis.
full dial HSS cannot be overlooked, and naked 18 defence on a JSA TA is beastly... i can see this guy appearing a lot at my local venue. paired with GG GF Dr strange he'll be all but unhittable.

what really suprises me is how few people have even noticed the fact that wally isn't running! OMG a flash in a different action pose!

still lol'ing at all the cheers for a wally over all the Barrys we've had... i mean come on guys n gals, its a miniature game where both characters in question wear the exact same costume and facial sculpts are obscured by paint or just not detailed enough... surely we can use our imagination. its just a name on a card after all.

both dials are great and highly playable, especially with the promotion mechanic in play

Darn it HC. I don't want to get both Marvel and DC sets but you keep making that decision more and more difficult.
