fun times. those old pieces still hold up well. tasky features prominently in my made-up masters of evil that are analgues of the magnificent seven jla (tasky is obviously the batman analogue). i was ecstatic to get such a great remake
mm095 count nefaria 210
cw048 taskmaster 139
ct093 titania 85 (desperately in need of remake)
cw032 quicksilver 111
sv095 graviton 178
iho33 tiger shark 134
gg034 super-skrull 143
total 1000 on the dot
despite titania's weak-link aside, this is a boss team, particularly with tasky's enhancement helping out nefaria & graviton's already amazing ranged ability.
If I could make only one 'clix: the Melter (Marvel) or Negative Man (DC)
His classic hooded look is equal parts cool and cheesy, which fits the character perfectly. He's cool at times and at others he can be a cheesy villain.
There's an issue of Avengers Academy where he's fighting his daughter(?) and she catches his cape. He says that he knows how impractical it is, but he just thinks it looks cool.
Super-Villain Training: Taskmaster can use Enhancement and Leadership. When he succeeds on an roll for Leadership, adjacent friendly characters modify their attack and range values by +1.
I played him with SR Deadpool from the Web of Spider-Man set in an Agency X team and even without getting all of the benefits from his leadership power as Deadpool is more points that Taskmaster, he still performed admirably.
Just wanted to point out, Deadpool would still get the +1 attack and range on a successful leadership roll, just not the removed token. The modifiers aren't based on point value, just a successful roll. So he can really help out even paired with higher point characters.
I don't know what you're talking about. The udon Taskmaster is way more cool looking than the silly pirate costume. The Udon costume was actually practicle and looked a hellofa lot cooler. I have no idea why they changed it back in the comics.
That being said, good read. Love the new SR and the old Vet is just a classic killer piece.
Agreed that the Udon look is sa-wheet, but as with everything in comics, all that is old is new again.. There's something to be said for the garish, totally non-functional cape and cowl look. Agent X was just a cool book all around. Is that dude still 800lbs? They should put him in the next X set...

Right...hence the reason that I said he wouldn't get "ALL OF THE BENEFITS" due to Deadpool being a higher cost than Taskmaster. I've already said what you thought you needed to correct me on.

Sorry, wasn't trying to correct you. Just was a little vague. Just trying to help out in case you didn't realize that and make your Agency X team even better.
