Doctor Strange, 1000pt games and Batman?!
This week Steve and Jeremiah talk about the Dr. Strange teams they built and how well they played, Why not to play 1000pt teams at 10 actions each and some No Man's Land stuff....and Batman Contest. What's that have to do with Heroclix?

Download MP3 File

Message me if you want a friendly game of Clix at Gencon.

I'm excited to hear the portion on why not to play 1000 point games with 10 actions. We're playing a 1200pt game tonight with 6 actions per turn, it speeds the game up and makes things like Leadership and Brotherhood of Mutants TA more desirable.
The 3rd Annual Bag of Lemons is coming up on June 8th and the RSVP is already past halfway full! Fear Itself figures, custom Mario & Luigi figures and more!! Sign up now!!!

Just listening to the bit on Primes. Interested to see how an all-Prime team works out.

Also, would setting actions per turn as "half the number of characters on your force at start" work?
Heroclix named Katana are surprisingly easy to decapitate...

SPOILER!! Regarding Batman Info

Highlight Below
Regarding Robin's death, the guy that killed him was a fully grown clone of himself. Yup, comics are getting really "creative".

This is my complaint with maintaining the 1 action per 100 points considering how much figures generally cost now. It made more sense back in sets where you could easily find figures that cost in the realm of 30-50 points...but unless you're playing a team full of low-cost generics these days it's just not happening. Higher point games with 1 action per 150 or 200 points makes a lot more sense for most people...and like you said, makes bonus actions from Leadership and free-move TAs meaningful.
Advocate for full CSA remake and more Defenders! ...and would a 19DV Defender kill you while we're at it?

REClixed: Justice for Dmitri Pushkin (your sacrifice will not be forgotten)! New generic Rocket Red @50-75 points while we're at it?

Power Girl AND Bust.

With Zod as my witness...

Eh, the Robin's are still faring better than the Batgirl's (two of whom have simply ceased to exist). And don't get me started on poor Artemis.

If anything, the new grimmer, darker DC probably still needs to off another Robin... which makes Tim Drake's current case of red-eye rather worrying

I don't know if it's just me, but you guys did not seem like you were all to excited to be doing this podcast. It lacked the energy and passion that I normally enjoy from listening to you guys. I really enjoy the show normally, and maybe this was just an off week, but it wasn't one of your best.

Agreed, I didn't mean for it come across as a complaint, more of trying to be supportive. Like I said, I enjoy the show and I look forward to it every week (or when ever it comes out).

We need to stop saying "well you can just change the rules". The rules need to be uniformed, for the most part. Yes you can create variants for a tourney or something very once and awhile...but it hurts our game if the rules set changes
Any one in Seattle Area every want to hang out and play, send me a message.

I agree, although I said differently on the cast. Friendly games are what we play for the most part at my venue. So we are very flexible.

We set a cap of 5 actions any time we go over 500pts. Works pretty well. (Home games)
