I just wish we could get a Storm worthy of her massive power potential. Weather is one of the most destructive planetary forces, and for some reason Storm keeps falling into the "secondary ranged attacker who suddenly goes melee" category. If she must go melee, how about some Quake, they've already used it to represent tornadoes on Crystal, so why not on Storm too?
A 200+ point "Omega" level Storm would be kinda cool. (And different!) Look at the destruction being caused right now by Tropical Storm Isaac! Storm is basically supposed to be able to summon that sort of thing at-will!
Some sort of large radius Quake or a Force Blast that can be used at range and against multiple targets would not at all be amiss.
Id like to see a Storm with built in BFC options as a trait. Something similar to this:
Trait: At the beginning of your turn as a free action choose 1 option. Effects last until the beginning of your next turn:
1. Summon the winds: all characters with the wing symbol have the boot symbol instead.
2. Summon the clouds: all terrain is hindering for lof purposes. All range is halved.
3. Summon the lightning: characters cannot use stealth.
Heroclix is a strategy game with comic book characters where you can flip Two-Face's coin, badly impersonate Mark Hamil's Joker, and see if Batman had time enough to prepare when he is suddenly faced against a guy in yellow spandex, with claws. It is played by some of the nicest, most giving people on the planet that you'd want to share a drink with. That is why I play Heroclix.
I like that idea a lot if they want to make a Storm that represents her fullest potential. The only thing I would change is that it would only be a free action if she has no action tokens, or else it would be too easy just to build a Stealth team and spam summon the clouds. I also think a "flash flood" that makes all clear grounded terrain water terrain would be cool.
Stealth and close combat expert....can somebody tell me how this is not lame?????
Um...okay.
Storm sits in Stealth so SHE can't be attacked from range. Which means you've got a catch .22 where you can't attack her or outwit her, but if you move next to her, then you're in danger of taking a stronger attack.
They actually work together surprisingly well, especially if the figure has range.
It's not the power combo that *I* would have selected for Storm, but it's not like there isn't any synergy between those two powers.
It's not exactly the strongest power combo in the game, but "lame" isn't exactly the word that comes to my mind.

The storms ever since Danger Room have all been maulers so I've never given any thought to what would be a "better" Storm but I think this is a great idea. Maybe not free action battlefield changing but some sort of mechanic that allows her to affect the whole map would be great.
