At the end of the article (tldr?) I did mention that you could sub in the newer figures...but since I explicitly used one of the unique FF figures as Skadihr, I couldn't use the HoT or AVM version as a replacement Fandral without the points being completely skewed...unless I went with just the AVM versions, or went with non-character shenanigans like the Infinity Gauntlet.

There is a HUGE difference in pure Warriors Four domination between the build I showcased here (400 points) over the alternate at 300 points using the AVM figures. The difference is far greater than 100 points IMO. I've played these four several times at 400 points and they are formidable.

re: hotff warrior's 3 - there's no comparison w/the hot 3, other than availability, which is how i was able to get them in my collection i think they'd be much better received if they all had . it feels like they could have slipped that end w/out raising the cost, or maybe in exchange for a click of health. they aren't bad at all, they just pale in comparison to the mainset's

I do agree the HoT versions the W3 are the best. I'm glad I got them all. I'm just curious though, how can you use the fandral from the FF set when you're already using the HoT one?

The 'Unique' restriction is only for characters from the same set, with the same number, so backing up the HoT W3 with a version from the Fast Forces is allowed.

Very nice article. You could also throw Nightcrawler in as one of The Warriors 4 from the What If comic where Storm kept Thor's powers and some of the X-men stayed in Asgard.
