Is there anything wrong with...
I play Clix on a weekly basis at my local venue and I win a lot. I have been a big X-Men fan since I can remember the cartoon. Almost every week, I will play with an X-Men team, mind you, its not the same X-Men Team almost every week, but I do have some staple characters that I do use most of the time, namely, Cyclops, Psylocke, and my LE Jeam Grey. Sometimes, depending on the team, i might throw in a conartist and a rookie destiny.

Now, I can play with whatever, my best format is draft, but when playing constructed, I really enjoy using an X-Men Team. No one complains about it to my knowledge, but I just wanted to know, is this somethign that would really annoy you?

I just want to know how the greater clix community feels about this.

Well if you win alot then: A- you must be good. or B- your opponents aren't good.

But thats a great way to keep the fun in the game for others and leave a fairchance to others to win.
Good trader thread.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Then again, I don't have a problem with someone running a Thor team every week, just because I like beating Thor with various teams.
Can we get the old HCRealms back?

I say play whatever you want , it's your game and your figures and your entry fee
As long as you don't get bored with the team you are using , and it meets the format specs (ie: Unrestricted , since Jean is retired) , then have at it.

I haven't really done the tourney thing, but I love theme teams. I may get a little bored at a repeated theme, but hey, it's your team man. Do whatever you enjoy.

First off, there would be few teams fielded that would upset me. But...

I think that if there really is no one at your venue that complains about it, but you're now worried that someone might judge you for it in a negative way, you may be feeling guilty about using the same strategy to win time-and-again.
I would suggest to you to try a different team once in awhile. Maybe try a team with an entirely different strategy. You may discover that you like it and that whatever you were feeling that made you ask this question will disappear.

Have fun.

6-5 tournament record for 2010.
An Admin told me that I'm "too smart" for Another Realm. I hold that as a standing order.

Go with the team you like.

But if at a moment you feel that the other players are bored that you play often the same figures/team, maybe you should change from time to time for their pleasure too.

I agree with JKLantern, but I add that you have to enjoy the game and make all is possible for the other players to enjoy it too.
I'm the unconditional militant for the making of Porcupine, Man-elephant and Armadillo as clix !

i tend to use a lot of xmen theme teams as well (snikt-bamf...shocker) and my most frequent opponent rarely complains. if you want to mix it up, try putting together one of your favorite xmen teams and then trade with your opponent! often a different person using the same team will find new uses/combos that you never thought of and from the other side of the table you might see some weaknesses in your team that you can fix later.

Yeah, with 3 Perplex stacked on top of his 9 Attack!?

Why not advertise all figures with stats that are 3 higher than what they've got?

That doesn't sound like a very good team to me... Ronan's powerful, yes, but those three pieces don't seem to work well together if you ask me. Maybe I'm not looking at it from the right angle...

An X-men team doesn't seem like a cheesy team to me, so unless somebody starts complaining, I see no problem with it.

I myself enjoy dabbling in different kinds of teams, but I can understand wanting to play a theme that you love.

I say you're fine until your fellow players start complaining about it.

all depends on the size of the game my friend.. in 400 pt game i could have a very worthy team... but at the moment i was just jesting for the crowd.....

I'm aware of that. I'm REALLY REALLY bored right now... I love ROnan, myself. Of course, I've only used him once... back when I thought Force Blast could be used at Range.

even if they complained that's tough noogies for them.... you are out to have fun if they can't handle that well learn a new strategy that beat's your strategy.... (as long as it doesn't evolve into meta gaming thing's should still be fun)
