With the advent of Feats etc, it occurred to me that WK don't need to add new Team Abilities in to the game... here's how;
My idea is that they have cards that provide new TAs for certain characters. Each 'Affiliation Card' would list which characters could use the card, detail how many of those characters you need on your team to use it and also any additional points cost there is.
Pricing these cards is difficult because TAs can be quite expensive and are normally figured in to the existing figures. So basically, I decided to make a judgment call (be it right or wrong) and priced up the new TAs effectiveness vs any exist TA and then charge a small amount for a trade (i.e. changing one TA for the new one) or more if they don't have a TA. The costs are per figure too.
Sample Affiliation Cards
Affiliation: X-Force +0/+10pts
Give this character a Ranged or Close Combat Action. The character may opt to reduce their Attack Value for this action. For each -2 applied in this manner, add +1 to the characters Damage Value. The Attack Value supersedes the Rule of 3 but cannot be reduced by more than -6.
Characters may not draw a line of fire to this character if it passes through blocking terrain (including the square the figure is occupying).
Team(2): Wolverine, Logan, James Howlett, Sabretooth, Victor Creed, Fantomex, Maverick
Affiliation: Excalibur +5/+10
If a friendly member of this team is damaged by an opposing figure, all friendly members of this team receive +2 Attack Value until the end of your next turn
