Just thought that I would share a poem that I traditionaly read on Christmas. It was written by a nephew of mine when he was in the 2nd grade back in 1996. It was even published in the local paper. It brings smiles and downright hysterical laughter every time it is recited. Hope you enjoy it as much as my family and I do.
THE ELF
It is Christmas at the North Pole.
The reindeer are getting ready to pull the sleigh.
The deer are pulling the sleigh.
There is a turtle.
The deer are helping Santa go around the world.
Christmas is a season for joy
Children sit on Santa's lap
And ask for their favourite toy
I don't want peace on Earth
Or fulfilment and spiritual worth
I just want Legacy, oh boy
