KC Team (1800 pts...theoretically) vs. Galactus (1800 pts)
Hey all, just wondering who you think would be the likely winner between the Kingdom Come team and Galactus (Mighty - 1800pts). Now, I'm not talking about only the existing Kingdom Come clix from Unleashed, but also the figures from the upcoming Legacy. Here's a list with point values (the only point values I don't have are KC Hawkman or KC Red Robin, since they haven't been released by Wizkids yet). Here's a list of the KC Team:
Pts. Set #
Wonder Woman U 198 UL093
Batman U 188 UL094
Superman U 265 UL095
Magog U 209 UL096
Bat Sentry U 67 UL097
Shazam! LE 256 UL221
Flash U 150 LE095
Green Lantern U 225 LE096
The team total so far comes to 1558 pts, but if we also include Hawkman and Red Robin, the total will probably be about 1800 pts.
A perfect match for the Mighty Galactus. So, who do you think would win this matchup? Of course it all depends on the rolls and strategies employed, but I think I might have to side with the Kingdom Come team. I mean, 4 different 200+ pt. figures, and all with amazing numbers and powers. And I'm a Marvel fan to boot! But seriously, I think KC would definitly be the more likely winner. What do you all think?
I agree. Me and a friend played a 1800 pt Galactus, but with the rule that we could each use a 1000 point team. So even with an extra 200 points we lost. BUT we did knock him down to mid way through his last dial. It's all about the stealth.
Later man,
Gotta give the fight to Galactus. I suspect he would win be some sick, huge margin.

wow, guess I was wrong in my guess. I actually own a Galactus, but being a collector over a player, I'm only minutely aware of the finer game mechanics. I just figured with the high damage, defense, etc of the KC team it might actually be likely. Course, the big G does have his own numbers which put most others to shame. I just figured the KC teams numbers (and I mean the amount of high powered figures on the team, not their speed/attack/def./damage) would make them a viable opponent to Galactus. I mean, it is 10 different targets. Course, Galactus is 41 clicks of power, and his defense never drops below 17. I would LOVE to see this match though. And you never know, with some lucky rolls on the KC teams part, and if they're played right, I think it could happen. Especially if Galactus isn't rolling well (hmmmm...maybe some weighted dice, hehe).

Galactus would take this one pretty easily. The problem is that when fighting Galactus you can't win by dropping a low number of high cost figures. That will cost you the game. Unfortunately for GL and Flash, he also has a really high attack and could destroy them in one turn, most likely.
The key to defeating Galactus at the 1800 pt. level is many low cost, high attack figures. When I played against him I used as many cheap BCFers as possible, which worked, but just barely. Haymaker might prove useful against him... if you have a hight enough attack that you can afford to lose 1 attack point...

"No. Because it's just too obvious."

I think that is a great idea! I will wait and try that after Legacy is released. Of course with that, I would throw in at least 2 perplexers, 2 probability figures, and two barrier figures. Take out Magog, since he is archenemies with Superman.
thats a good point. When my buddy (who is a freak when it comes to this game, he's really good) played a team against my Galactus (another dude was controlling big G), he did just that. Lots of healers, low point damage dealers, some more point expensive heavy hitters, etc. All together I think he had like 40 pieces on his team (it was vs. the 1800pt Galactus and it was a loooong game). And yes it was a force game, not scenario. Personally scenario sounds #### near impossible. I mean, against a mighty G, you only get 20 turns to knock him out! He's got 41 freaking clicks! Course, when you get 18 actions per turn, maybe its not so tough. Like I said, I'm more of a collector. I apologize for the ignorance, hehe.

For your ignorance, YOU SHALL FACE GALACTUS, WORM!!
Gosh as if there's a question. They made Galactus so powerful, you'd have to be a moron to lose with him. He's kinda borken in a way, but then again he should be, seeing as to how he is rarely defeated anyways. All he needs to do against the KC gang is pulsewave them to death, and heck, he doesn't need to roll that high, what with a 14-16 AV. I suppose you could reach that rare person that rolls critical misses regularly, AKA me.
