Round 3!!!

I was playing Heroclix the other day, and building my team, I had 103 points left. I looked at my selection and realized that U HT Batman and R IC Hulk both cost the same. This got me thinking. Just because they are Heroclix equals doesn’t translate back translate back to comics. I think most of us would agree that Hulk could beat Batman in a fight.

That is the idea for this tournament. Every entry will be close to the same amount of points Heroclix wise, but this will be their comic forms fighting!

Rules:
This will be a standard single elimination tournament with 32 combatants. There will be 2 to a fight. They get no knowledge of each other (unless they have fought in the past). The only thing they get is the Heroclix figure of there enemies, and a PAC so they know what the opponent looks like and a bit about what they can do (this can be misleading however, like if they face Electro and think he will try to poison them). They will have 5 minutes to prepare. This is a fight to the death or KO, whichever happens first, and they must fight (no waiting for the opponent to die of starvation). They have with them what they normally carry and what there fig has if it is different. (Like how Bullseye doesn’t carry a gun, but he has one on the fig). If the fig that is being used is the rookie, you do NOT have to treat the fighter like that. (unless the characters powers change dramatically ie: Rouge)

When you vote, please try to justify your answer. You don’t have to write an essay, just a short explanation will do.

Heaven by Magnito
Although fighting is usually not aloud in Heaven, the powers-that-be have made an exception. Fighting on the clouds, their feet will sink a little but only a couple inches. There are flowers and trees all around and the air has a nice aroma. Beautiful water fountains and cute animals such as rabbits and deer are plentiful. The animals are there, but if any contestant hurts one, the clouds will open up and they will fall back to Earth and out of the tournament.

BOOSTER GOLD
In the 25th century, Jon Michael Carter was washed up. A promising football player whose career was ruined by scandal, he found himself working as a janitor in Metropolis's space museum. Realizing he'd be better off in the past, Booster stole futuristic equipment including a LSH flight ring and a force field generator, "Booster" took a time machine to the 20th century. After foiling an assassination plot, Booster used the publicity to become the first commercial hero. He joined the Justice League where he forged a friendship with the Blue Beetle. Since then Booster's corporation has gone bankrupt and while he spends his time trying to rebuild it, he manages to remain a hero in name and deed.

PSYLOCKE
After having her spirit switched into the body of the assassin Kwannon, Betsy Braddock was brainwashed by the Mandarin into becoming "Lady Mandarin." Betsy used her psychic abilities to stun others with "mental bolts," control minds and intensely focus her powers into a "psychic knife." Psylocke eventually regained her free will and returned to fight alongside the X-Men.

That there is a tough call. I believe the question is "Can the Booster Gold force field withstand a mental attack?" If it can, Booster. If not, Psylocke.

Given that Psylocke should have lost last round, since she basically never yses ranged mental attacks. Booster will stomp her, by the time she realises she can't get her 'action junkie' fix, Booster will have pounded her to snail snot.

Booster Gold vs. Scarlet Witch would have been a much better fight.
Psylocke will try the close up thing, and be out befor she gets close. My vote...
BOOSTER GOLD

My vote's on Booster. Strong ranged attack and flight work well against Psy.

It is with a heavy heart I vote against a DC character for the first time

BG is notoriously weak willed and, while his force field could withstand Cyclops all day without a scratch, this X-Man has Psychic powers

Booster will leave her battered when he gets off one last shot but, in the end, she will get through his pathetic mental defences. That,and the fact that she is a beautiful woman: Booster's kryptonite!

I'll vote Psylocke. While she may prefer to go into close combat, she uses mental bolts when she needs to.

I think BigSoph says it best. Psylocke(i.e. a pretty lady) is Booster's kyrptonite. He won't be able to stop drooling when he see's her outfit. I can so see him falling for this kind of trap
