well next thursday is the galactus match weve all been waiting for, and its 1800pts of figs (32 is max amount of figs) I wot be able to make it this week of all weeks because im going out of town.
so post your ideas on how to take down the big G here.
I believe galactus is PART OF A FORCE for this event which means he cant see stealth and ignorse psychic blast.
1200 pt galactus + 9 hookers + PW + as much PC as possible...
that's the almost guranteed win sans 3 imperv rolls >.<. otherwise... mystics and a swarm type team... making galactus use as much actions as possible... and barrier would help i think...
I am going out on a limb but I dont think we going to be alloud to use galactus against galactus....nice try .
I forgot to mention that it is unrestricted and you can use any number of named figs (except uniques) so you chould have 3 V wildfires or 10 conartists, or something like that.
Pulse wave is practically a must, and since I only have a few figs with it (and dont start with it) I dont feal as bad about not being able to go.
I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.

I'm assuming that this is force galactus. In which case, you'll have 18 actions to his 3 (I think). Just get around 10 firelords, back em up with con-artists, and throw in a lotta cheap hypersonic speed people with armor piercing. Get some PC and ur set. U'll take him down in no time. Just keep your pieces away from eachother and he can't do too much damage with EE or PW.
i guess it's not so simple to win against 1800pts galactus. Don't forget the 21DV + imp, 16 AV+ 8 damage.
I don't remember if Galactus have multiple target. But even without it, he can easily fire 10 firelord in not so many rounds.
Yeah no one is going to be taking down Force Galactus "in no time". And yes he has multiple arrows... three to be exact, with a 16 range. 9 out of 10 of those Firelords would be useless or KO'ed after one turn.
Plus Galactus's dial is ridiculously long...who's getting the first turn? That could mean the difference between Galactus starting on his first click or 10th...
really V firelord isn't bad. 5 damage with RCE, 13 attack, 18 defense...and tons of life. Throw on some PC, Perplexers and Support and you should be alright.
The REALLY tough challenge would be to beat a Galactus using only HEROES, and NO DUPLICATES. This is also most likely nigh impossible.
Why does everyone want Galactus? I want Eternity! lol
What you need is 6 guys who can hit really hard the first turn with 6 TKers. What I've used to take him down before was:
U Thor 186 (ICWO 10)
V Doom 198 (ICWO 10)
E Ultron 139 (ICWO 10)
U Gladiator 205 (ICWO 10)
V Firelord 97 (ICWO 10)
V Wildfire 145 (ICWO 10)
R Jean Grey 31
R Johnny Alpha 41
R Cosmic Boy 45
LE Blink 44
2x R Mandroid Armor 56
2x V U-Men 44
R Saturn Girl 44
R Destiny 20
R Domino 35
LE Calypso-Ezili 22
Alfred 6
2x V Paramedic 24
4x R Con Artist 44
R Mystique 34
E Black Cat 32
V Parademon Scout 23
KC Green Lantern 225
The idea here is: Second turn, get hookers to perplex, carry 1 U-Men up with Parademon, move the other up 6. TK Thor next U-Men, get his attack up to 14 and damage up to 6. Carry U-Men on Running Shot next to other U-Men. The Idea is Thor hits for 6 after imperv, next hitter hits for 5 after imperv and he's on his second dial. Third hitter hits for 4, fourth hits for 4, and fifth hits for 3, putting him on his starving dial, and then the sixth hits for 3 or 4 depending. Now it's his turn with only 15 or 16 clicks left!
That's best case scenario, though. The fallback is that, if you hit him 6 times in the first turn, chances are he will only roll imperv twice. This means you can easily get him to the end of his middle dial in one turn and still have KC GL as backup!
You have all your big hitters crowd around the 2 U-Men, and Ultron and Doom use 2000 AD to have a 14 and 13 respectively. You do have to be very careful about positioning, though, to get the best use out of your perplex and PC.
Sorry, but you are wrong. I've beaten him before with the aforementioned team. He is extremely tough, and as close to unbeatable as can be, but there is no unbeatable team, even Galactus.
